Just watched the final again and I can’t help think that had KDB been available and/or fit all season it might have been more than 1 point and we’d still have 1 more game to go.

Wouldn't be too surprising as he's a great player. Wasn't your mini-dip around Christmas when he was injured? However it'd have been very difficult to get many more points in the 2nd half of the season than you did given your record then.

We lost 4 this season. I don’t know if he played those, but even if he did he wouldn’t have been 100%

ffs! stop peddling this crap. Four premiership titles in the last ten years, probably the best squad in the world, with the best manager, yes it has been built with Sheikh Mansour's wealth but to say we are not a big club is totally ridiculous.

Even when we were in the (old) third division, not that long ago we were pulling in over 30,000 at Maine Road most games.

Indeed, 9th biggest in the world according to France Football and that was before we won the league for a fourth time.

Just spent the last 2 hours watching the parade streamed live.
I wish I’d been there, what a party!
Vinnie looked quite choked and his goal was the goal of the season.
Totally deserved.

Dearest Stuart,
Vinnie did not score goal of the season. That would be the Andros Townsend's wonder left foot volley against your rabble.
I trust we concur in this matter.

Match if the Day goal of the season Vincent Kompany, that will do for me. AT’s shot was a cracker but not a league winner.

Dearest darling BMW
In the context of the celebration parade, Vinnie got the goal of the season award for Manchester City. Bernardo Silva got the player of the year award, wait for it, for Manchester City. HTH.
Incidentally that rabble did pretty well this year imo
How did your lot get on? wink

A very nice goal to be sure, but hardly in the same class as a 25 yard screamer into the top corner in a high pressure game with the title on the line.
Perhaps you could find out where liverpool get their "Almost winners" trophy`s from and order one up for Andros ;0).

Why does it matter though? I never get why these "best player of the season" and so are are usually only given to the league winners. If you win the league then you get awarded by winning the league. So then the awards should be separate in my view.

But the best players often play for the best teams.... Hence they win more often.

Right. Understood. Vinnie got Citeh's goal of the season.
Whereas the erudite and discerning football fan, myself included, acknowledge the superiority of the Townsend strike.

My lot. Utd. We had an Annus Horriblis.
My annus is indeed horribilis. I can pm you some pics with me bent over, as evidence.

Are you 12 years old? Because that's the level of maturity you're showing.

I think he’s being quite funny although, tbh, I’ve got sense of humour of a 12 year old!

Can we talk about thread title change yet?
Champions doesn’t really tell the whole story.
Fourmidables?
Domestic treble winners?
