Wow, great stuff from City tonight. Thoroughly deserved the win against a bunch of spoilt pricks in PSG.
The back four tonight were outstanding; Dias gets better with every match and what happened to the old Zinchenko that was a wobbly, shaky left back prone to mistakes. Pep's worked wonders with him and Foden tonight, all his performance was missing was a goal.
Sad that Poch has got involved with this bunch.... Neymar, Di Maria and Herrera have always been s but you can Verratti and Kimpembe to that list. That challenge from Kimpembe near the end was worth a red, not a yellow & aside from the early penalty that VAR sorted out, I'd say that was a brilliant performance from Bjorn Kuipers, the ref. Took no nonsense from the usual subjects and let the game flow as much as possible. Hope he gets the final.

Another superb City performance, PSG are a great side but they went to pieces towards the end and petulant DiMaria was rightly sent off.
Phil Foden was unlucky three times, arguably the best young player in Europe at the moment, credit must go to Pep, since he tightened City's shaky defence several months ago, we have gone from strength to strength, Stones's improved form this season has played a big part in this.
What a pity Colin Bell isn't around to see this.

Without Mbappe PSG are crap. Another all english final would be amusing.
From a Leeds fan well done to City, in the end you put PSG away with ease and I genuinely hope you go on and win the final - you've been consistently one of the best teams in Europe for several seasons and a Champions League trophy would be well deserved IMO.
And while it's perhaps unfair to pick out individuals, in Foden you have the most talented English player I've seen since Paul Gascoigne - a really special player and no doubt all the more satisfying given he's one of your own!

Congrats City on a brilliant performance.
Actually think you will do it this year.
Dias was an amazing buy and it looks like the hunger and belief is there this time to go all the way.
Foden is probably the one of the best English prospects I've seen in a long time, real skills with intelligence.
Not the usual headless chicken type players we normally seem to produce which I'm guessing is down to Peps mentoring.
Think with him, Saka, Mount, Rice, Bellingham etc, England have a real chance of going far in tournaments with the right coaching.
Their potential is higher than the so called golden generation we had to me.

I stand by this quote!https://en.as.com/en/2021/04/28/football/161962018...
The other teams in the semi's are telling as well; Chelsea and PSG. Teams by the way that are pretty much interchangeable.
Meanwhile Real and Barca are trying to keep ahead, or should I say trying to keep up with the deep pockets of Mansour, Ahbramovic and Al-Khelaifi.
Result is that both are in debt for about a 1bn. Euro, with (partly) ageing teams. The Super Leaque can't save them either.
So next year it's PSG, City and Chelsea again no doubt, Bayern being probably the 4th team in the 2022 semi's.
Yawn.

Well it's inevitable isn't it. After all those years, investing bn's in players, coaches, facility's, etc.

Yes. boring to an extent, but not as boring as the Dutch League. Ever.https://en.as.com/en/2021/04/28/football/161962018...

I’ve lust watched the highlights again and every single player was outstanding. They really were a team and I would find it difficult to single any of them out. If we. Play like this in the final then it’s ours regardless of the opposition.
It was quite amusing to see PSG spitting their dummy out but it was a bit of a worry that someone might get injured but luckily it didn’t happen.

The Champions league and Premiership has always been won by wealthy clubs (With a few exceptions), it's not 1956 anymore.
No doubt when the Glazers move on, United will be bought by a multi billionaire who will clear off the debts with his pocket money.
