Commiserations to Citeh...you underperformed today, especially in strategy/setup. I wouldnt have been devastated if you had won it on the day, you were clearly the best club in The best league this year. Knockout finals are a different beast.

Suspect that was the reason why all bar one of the city lads kept them on though, probably briefed to do so following the backlash our lads deservedly got. Not to say Pep wouldn’t have the grace to accept it properly anyway - he’s not stupid.
True. Even Aguero in tears with it still on. I started feeling sorry for him but then the camera changed in time. hehe

Chin up lads (Stu, WR etc…), you’ve played one hell of a season again and it’s only a matter of time until you win this competition too.

No excuses, Chelsea were far better and wanted it more.

I think we deserved to win tonight but it's such fine margins. Pulisic takes his chance for 2-0 and it's quite comfortable, but he misses and then it's just our good fortune that Mahrez's last gasp shot flies inches over the bar with the keeper nowhere. That could have flown in, and then it goes to extra time and I'm sure you go on to win it.

Feeling angry at Pep this morning.
I’m sure that feeling will abate. I still think he’s a genius, although like most of them, he is flawed.

Why when you're the best team would you tinker?

Make the other team bend to your tactics, no need to react to the opposition before the game has started, maybe at half time if things are going wrong.

Literally everyone could see it was going wrong from about 5 mins in.

About as close to throwing it away as you can get. Not starting Fernandinho is probably the worst managerial decision Pep has ever made, baffling.

He does have form for it though.

Chelsea just looked so much better setup. Comparing this to the PSG game and it's just bizarre what he did.

Because you’ve lost twice in the previous 6 weeks to the same team? It was a risky strategy (and why the hell he played Sterling) but you can see what he was trying to do. Probably would have worked if Chelsea didn’t have the best DM in the world

Fernandinho for Sterling at half time, he's fking woeful.

If Southgate is genuinely going to select players on form, Sterling should be made to stay at home this summer and practise his first touch, his second touch, his decisions with the ball.... awful.
I’ve been a big fan of Sterling but you’re right he’s lost form and shouldn’t be selected for England this summer.

bloody hell pep, you tinkering tinker you!

feel the false 9 thing will be kept, but a proper 9 will be added and with the rotation it'll keep opposition mangers guessing up until an hour before ko. i'd take a grealish in sterling out scenario in a heartbeat too.

My griefs turned to acceptance now.
What a season!
Easy PL winners
Carabou cup winners( last one ever?)
FA cup semi finals
CL finalists.
I’d have taken this at the start of the season, hell I thought we’d be lucky to get top 4!
The quadruple really was within touching distance - only a fool would think another club have the resources to do it in the near future (as virtually impossible as it is)
Top 4 next season? I don’t know where we’ll be but I see Chelsea. Liverpool and Utd being up there, in that order.

What did that cost you if you don't mind me asking? I remember Man City used to have one of the cheapest ST prices around, still the case?
