couldn't really ask for a better final day opponent. 13th place, safe from relegation and hopefully mentally on the beach, so to speak. not sure the gerrard thing as much to do with it, and at the end of the day liverpool flogged coutinho so don't see that he owes them anything.
still it's city, so it's probably not going to be straight forward!
I think you'll smash them. I was hoping you'd wrap it up against the Hammers tbh, but anyway. still it's city, so it's probably not going to be straight forward!

City were 14 points clear and 2 minutes away from a Champions League final. They couldn’t, could they?
City were never 14 points ahead. The YAWN brigade seem to have a problem with understanding the concept of games in hand (rather hilariously in 2014 I seem to recall as they had what they thought was an unassailable lead ignoring games in hand)

Yes
Otherwise known as 14 points ahead.
Not until you've won the points.
City had won the points and Liverpool hadn't
there is a caveat, but City were 14 points ahead at one point in time.
Is it important, no.
I'd say good luck in an effort to sign off in a good spirit, but it would be in bad faith.

The funny thing is the number of Liverpool fans on here had thrown the towel in previously who are now getting all excited whereas the City. fans are not surprised every thing is going right down to the wire!
a gross misrepresenataion and you know itthere is some dreaming for a laugh going on but we are under no illusions, probability is set to about 10%
wew were happy with the B side put out last night, because recovery for the CL final is the priority
proud to have pushed you lot to the last game again though

Oh, a b side against an “on the beach rubbish already” Southampton side?
You could have put the under 14s out and still won!

The last time the club at the top of the league lost out on the last day of the season was 1989 - it’s not going to happen.
(Not to mention for all the Coutinho comments you could counter it with Villa getting 15 million for Grealish winning the league so deliberately caving in).

What utter rubbish, there’s been loads of comments both on the Liverpool thread and even some here saying just that!
"throwing towel in" yes, I responded to that on here
where are we getting excited about the chances of winning? i was referring to that, which was clear on the bit of my post you edited out
