Thank God for that, really thought you'd blown it when you went 2-0 down vs. Villa, but also thought that when you went 2-0 down at WHU last weekend.

CL is the one both Pep, the players and the owners want, lets see if it happens next season.

Congratulations!

lots of noise about signing calvin p from leeds. would be a fantastic replacement for fernandinho.

cucurella would be a good replacement for the lad about to turn out for mean machine too.

should have absolutely pumped the 'champions of europe'. a bit galling to be honest as an on song city lifts the pot tonight.

Just been watching a you tube vid of all KDB’s goals since he joined City. Truly amazing, he makes the ridiculously hard look so easy, I was actually laughing at some of them. It’s a privilege to be a City supporter whilst he’s played for us.

You can’t diminish the achievements of Klopp and his team.
It’s got to have been been a disappointing week for them and maybe not score a goal in any of the three finals they’ve been in might be a concern?
However them and City are streaks ahead of anyone else with City(my obvious bias) leading

I watched last nights game with an open mind. I thoroughly expected UEFA to referee Liverpool out of the game in favour of the darlings of europe, but i was pleasantly proven wrong. LFC and MCFC without doubt the best 2 teams in the competition. Like us; LFC looked to be the better team on the night. It just shows how well Ancelotti has Madrid set up to do what they did.
now if someone can explain just how that 1st goal was ruled offside?????...........

From what I could make out - if a defender deflects it to an attacker in an offside position he is offside?
That’s what Sky’s ref Peter Walton was saying. It sounds ridiculous!
I don’t think we’re the only people confused about it.

I *think* it's because the RM player touched it so at that precise moment Benzema was offisde.

Had they allowed it I'm sure they have found a way of saying that was right as well.

I'd always say any benefit of the doubt should go the attacker.

I doubt many of us Liverpool fans would have been too annoyed if that goal stood. I think most of us thought it was a goal before it went to VAR. It's a stupid rule.

yes if the defender delibarately touches the ball its off, if its an accidental deflection its on

the offside rule like the handball rule is just ridiculously over-complicated through constant tinkering

Why don't they do away with the offside rule altogether?

It would be the same for both sides.
