Off the mark after 12 minutes - not feeling the pressure of his half a Grealish price tag biggrin. Good to get the first of many. Hopefully Alvarez will get his first soon too.

his goal was the kind that went begging at least a couple of times each game. scary really when you look at how many goals were scored. not saying he'll bag them all, or anything like, but even 20% conversion of them would be huge.

Or convert the 'opportunities' that Raheem, by using his incredible powers of indecision, somehow managed not to score smile (light-hearted banter not hatred)

If anyone is going on Saturday and is driving to Leicester can I suggest you keep your eyes open for car parks which are run by the Leicester MS therapy centre.
There are several very close to the ground and all proceeds go to support the running of the therapy centre (which I use) and is a charity
Thanks

There’s a guy on TikTok whose thing is to be an official greeter outside stores. Normally it’s places like Primark however today it was outside the Man City training camp

I saw him live at the Hot Water Comedy Club in Liverpool last year, he was brilliant!

Just back from the game. Great atmosphere and Liverpool looked a week ahead in their preseason preparation.
Very close and enjoyable game until the penalty.
Pre season friendly though wink

I looked at his channel and there was a video from outside Waitrose which was funny (and had lots of views).

Unfortunately, the management challenged his right to be there but, even during all that, he was still greeeting the customers!

It was a great atmosphere yesterday with both sets of fans in good voice although, I’m surprised to say it, we sang more for more of the time.
While I’m on the subject of fans, I’m all for banter but I thought “murders” from us was a bit to far.
Booing the national anthem is their “thing” and although I think it’s daft and most of the reasons are a bit misguided, let them get on with it- it certainly encouraged the City fans to sing it at the top of their voices!
However throwing flares. I thought they’d been asked not to bring them? I didn’t see where the first set came from but the 2nd one was thrown from right at the back of the stand. It only need to be not reach as far and hit the first few rows of their own fans and someone would be seriously hurt.
Be someone else’s fault though.

Yeah I'm not sure Haaland and Maguire are on the same level but I get your point!

and it was £51m. amazing how the entire financial package is included when city fees are quoted. everyone else just the transfer fee.

It wasn't 51m unless you are fooled by the headline cost rather than the real cost. Regardless cheaper than Grealish is an amazing but of business.

as i said. the 'real' cost is always quoted for city. for others, just the transfer fee.

I don't know of many players where the "extras" nearly double the price but as I said, regardless, an incredible signing. City have massive money to spend I don't know why you'd be defensive about it.
