I don't know of many players where the "extras" nearly double the price but as I said, regardless, an incredible signing. City have massive money to spend I don't know why you'd be defensive about it.
not getting defensive, just a fact. i find it amusing to be honest, as it's about the only stick city can be beaten with. that and 'oil money' or 'empty seats'.tamore said:

It wasn't 51m unless you are fooled by the headline cost rather than the real cost. Regardless cheaper than Grealish is an amazing but of business.
as i said. the 'real' cost is always quoted for city. for others, just the transfer fee. _dobbo_ said:
Just embrace jr, I'd be delighted if my team could spend that kind of money on a player
absolutely do. our ticket came in, and it was a record rollover! the days of sitting in the 'gene kelly' stand at maine road getting piss wet through watching utter toss football put plenty of negative balance on the account to balance the current surplus! Driver101 said:

Whatever he cost/s he looks like a great signing and is a massive draw.
I say this as a United fan I was really looking forward to watching the game today to see what he could do.
It's going to be very hard to stop City winning the EPL again.
I wonder if he's the missing piece to winning the Champs' League.
He is a massive draw. If he lives up to his potential he will be one of the best players in the world. I say this as a United fan I was really looking forward to watching the game today to see what he could do.

He is the type of player that the EPL needs.
I think Man City will miss some of the players they've sold including Sterling. I still think they'll win the league by a margin.

It's OK, he'll soon be in Madrid.
You seem to be mistaking City for Liverpool... our best and most valuable players don't make a habit of wanting to leave the club and move to bigger clubs whilst still in their prime or holding the club to ransom with threats of leaving unless they receive massively increased wage packages.mike74 said:

Mane left on good terms and wanted a new challenge having won everything with us, so fair enough.
Salah stayed, but of course wanted more dosh given his performances.

You know you've lost Sterling, Sane, Jesus and Torres to name just a few in the last year or so?
Out of all them Sane was the only one who the club or manager didn't really want to go, although by all accounts Guardiola was apparently getting increasingly frustrated with Sane's performances and attitude .
