BBC sport reporting Liverpool dodgy at the back.

Against Norwich.

Will be interesting if their defence copes against good teams.

It's funny isn't it how the PH United fanbase is trying to keep up appearances.

Meanwhil Redcafe is exploding with frustation by the way the club's been run since the Glazer era.

I mentioned this even years ago.

- No football knowledge whatsoever in management at United (no director of football, no link between the youth academy and the first team, what's the actual philosophy of the club ? how does United want to play ?)
- To add to that; erratic appointment of coaches/managers: LvG is a totally diff. coach as Mourinho (playing style, youth development etc.) Not to mention Moyes and Ole.
- A top heavy management board, mainly consisting Americans/Glazers, who do not seem to understand football but do interfere
- Former WC United players are somehow kept at a distance, while some of them could be usefull in management/marketing/youth academy/coaching staff, either short term if not developing into long term assets;
- Overpaying for fairly mediocre to at best decent players (Maguire, Lukaku, Lindelof, Rojo, etc.etc.) and waisting good to WC players (DiMaria, Sanchez, maybe even Pogba).

United isn't run like a billion dollar prof. football organisition but a weird combo. of old English style management and an American sport franchise.

Fundamentally it all went sour the one or two years before Ferguson left. United was Ferguson and Fergison was United. Except Ferguson didn't invest anymore and somehow picked Moyes as his succesor.

There's a chance United this year will compete with the likes of Everton and Leicester for place 5 to 7. $ity and Liverpool are certainly out of reach, Arsenal and Tottenham most probably. Chelski maybe.

Ole, more than a decent chap, but certainly doesn't seem to have what it takes at this moment to carry United.

Interesting season ahead.
Lots of guff I didn't read.
No offense but no one is interested in your opinion, bizarre as you are. No one cares.

Don’t speak too soon. They may well do vastly better against sides other than Liverpool and City.

Then you shouldn't comment if you didn't even see the game. The result didn't really reflect the entire game.

Relegation 'faves'? After ONE match? Okay ...

They and sheff Utd are a lot of pundits relegation tips. Nothing to do with tonight's result .

You were once ripping into Liverpool and Man City now your targets are newly promoted teams.

A most perspicacious statement.

Anysways, we may tear into other teams too; tomorrow may give us some indication when Chelsea cower into Old Trafford.

Paul Parker doing some work on BBC radio on the Citeh game.
His profile pic appears to be from the 1980s - he looks 15.

Nothing has changed, if anything city are now stronger than last year. It's them or Liverpool for the prem unfortunately for a season or two yet.

Just don't see it. Liverpool will falter this season. It's all to play for behind City.

I partially agree, they've slipped up not strengthening but they are still ahead of the rest. Just seen end of spurs game, they were not all that but it's early days. All we can do is hope that a team and spirit is emerging now

Them having two players hitting the ground running after injuries - Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gomez - plus a real talent in Elliott (off you can ever say that about such young players) is not standing still.
