The point I'm making is that, if the club is performing perfectly and eeking out every possible advantage to the full, the new owner can't really do anything to increase the underlying value of what they're buying. On the other hand, if they can see ways to materially improve the performance of the business, there is more to be gained from the transaction.

I suspect Utd are pretty slick at marketing themselves and bringing in revenue commercially, yet their sporting structure is weak and this is now having a negative impact on the financial performance.

Personally think it went sour with Levy and what we have been seeing lately with him is the result of that, think he's still a top manager.. I'd be shocked if he didn't end up somewhere big..

I agree with Sue, another example of a manager paying the price for board incompetence, Levy pricing Eriksen out of the market so Poch left with an unhappy player etc

Wouldn't have him at Utd right now because I feel we are gradually going in the right direction and a change again isn't what we need but some big clubs will have their ears pricked up right now, if I was the Gooners I'd make a helluva play for him

Mourinho under Levy is going to be a st show. Either that or the fans will get tired very quickly of the football, BUT when they do at least they can turn their backs to the pitch and admire that stadium.
