Personally, if something like yesterday takes place.. The clubs captain should be carded, even red carded if needed.. It would stop overnight.

In ice hockey, if the coach mouths off at the officials.. The bench gets a penalty and has to sit a player out, good rule.

That’s a daft idea. Strategically placed away fans in the home end and a bit of overt racism and your team is in a winning position. Fine if it’s the team or anyone directly associated with the club.

Surely no one is silly enough to be an away fan, in the home end where this type of stuff happens?

Fining the club doesn't work, they spend £100 million on a singular player, a £100k fine is pointless.

Im glad the public have outed him on Twitter, to his employer and GM Police. Let's hope a criminal charge, banned from any ground for life and no job will teach him a lesson.

The question really is why have these knuckle draggers become enabled to be overtly racist. Society had moved on from this, but things have changed recently. Knuckle draggers have always been here and always will, but they are no longer marginalised, they are almost welcomed / accepted by an increasing number within society.

The technology and ability to name and shame has been around for a lot longer than this recent upturn. Overt, casual racism is far more prevalent nowadays IMO. The rhetoric in this election is clear evidence of that.
