Looking forward to today’s game. Could be within 2 points of Chelsea after their dip.

Quite a bit of press for Lingard this weekend he’s had quite a few problems off the pitch he’s been pretty good last few games hope that means he’s happier at home. I like the lad but I’m in the minority!

Everton will be right up for it again though and Big Dunc has caused us more than a few problems in the past!

Come on Ole keep proving those doubters wrong.
Next 4 games will show if this lot have anything about them or whether it’s more of them raising hope by being excellent against the other top teams and then destroying that hope by being st against cannon fodder .
Totally agree.
yes

Incredibly nervous for today's game

I'm on a force 11 hangover, even reading that made me feel a bit sick

It’s hair of the dog for me aswell. It’s not flying down.

But a nice Asahi is better than warm Heineken in plastic at OT now at £5 for 400ml

Big game. I’m hoping the players are relaxed and confident.

I really like Lingard for his effort and attitude. He’s been terrible for ages, but I hope he can find form.

This is utter garbage again. Should’ve scored after 15 seconds, after that it’s been rubbish. Just cancelled out in midfield / left hand corner. We’re giving Everton all the encouragement they need with one dimensional, slow play.

There you go. And that’s all that Everton need now to see this out. They’ll run on adrenaline and we’ll struggle to break them down

Once again we can’t break down a team that sits back a bit more. We don’t have a midfielder who can deliver a pass.

Once again, what is the point in VAR? Obvious foul and not ruled out.

De Gea has to be a lot more decisive than that ... flapping and turning his head away. Would not have been in the slightest surprised to see the foul given though. Good decision from VAR for once.

Absurd statement.

It’s absolutely clearly a foul. There’s no possible question about it. VAR has to go.

Edited to add that even Souness says it’s an obvious foul. Just scrap the fking thing - it’s ruining the game.

Not absurd at all. Souness suddenly flavour of the month cos he agrees with your POV - that's absurd.

My view, like yours, is not right or wrong - it's a view. The only view that matters is the ef's - and VAR in this case. This one went against you ... the dog barks and the caravan moves on, or whatever they say ...

It’s a clear foul, but so what? That’s the goal, the rest of the half we’ve been abysmal. Why focus on one incident when the rest of it is so st? Everton were always going to go physical, but if we’re not capable of breaking them down then what do we expect. The tactics are one dimensional, that being attack down the left and Everton are simply packing that area. They’ll do it even more now as they’ve got a lead to defend.

Lingard is a disgrace, we’d possibly be better off playing with 10 men. He is stealing a living, stick Greenwood on and give him a chance, as Lingard is offering absolutely nothing. Shaw is terrible and Fred pretty painful. Is Martial on the pitch? None of the others are covering themselves in glory, but the ones I’ve highlighted are painful.

It’s not a matter of opinion. It’s a foul. There’s no subjectivity involved. That’s why VAR is a joke. If it cannot correct for that, it’s pointless.

Absolute dog ste performance so far. Again. There’s something very wrong with the coaching at the club.

It’s not difficult to know what was going to happen. New manager bounce, very physical ex player now managing them. We were going to get bullied, harassed and pressed on the ball, so spread out, play the ball and try to pass them to death is the only real option, alongside taking some longer range shots. Instead we’ve tried to dribble the ball through u potential Everton players, walk the ball into the net and play fancy 1-2s. We’ve sleepwalked straight into the sort of performance Everton would have prayed for.

I think everyone agrees that VAR is ste and not working. Sadly I don't think it'll get scraped, they'll probably keep tweaking it until it "works"

If there was no VAR it's still a goal though...

I’m fine with that. I don’t mind refereeing mistakes. They’re inevitable. But why have all the delay and ruin the flow of the game but then not even get it right?! It’s a stupid system.
