It’s a strange one because I’m more optimistic than usual, but only for the medium term (2-3 years). I see us being very poor this season but much better next, assuming we buy a fking striker and a CM.

I just cannot see us scoring anything like enough goals to compete for places 3-5 in the league. I really hope I am wrong. But we look extremely light up front.
The signings were good but there weren't enough of them, not replacing Lukaku looks like a dire mistake and the midfield is far too weak. De Gea seems to have continued his form from last year and United's squad still has too many ineffectual players who should have been shipped out.
The ongoing failure to recruit a director of football makes the club look ridiculous, do Woodward and the Glazers care at all about the football side of the business?
Defiantly agree with the signings in the summer, and glad we went for younger players rather than people that just want a wage. We still need to clear the decks, but going to be hard with players on silly wages. Will take another few windows to clear those out, but we do need to get a striker, and centre midfielder ASAP.

Woodward and Glazers have just focused on the business side of the club, but it seems with Ole coming in and signings In the window they now maybe realising that things need to change.

It’s going to take time, and we need to give Ole that time.

More brain dead inbred nobs apparently racially abusing Rashford online today :-(
What sort of idiot takes that sort of nonsense online over a football match, surely it's straightforward for Twitter/police to have their details ?
It's the way of the world these days, 200+.

I was working at Bristol Rovers v Oxford United yesterday. Oxford have signed Matt Taylor on loan from Bristol City; he left Rovers to join City for £300k last season. The abuse he received yesterday was embarrassing, so much hatred for a bloke that in his mid twenties, decided to play for another team with a nicer stadium, better facilities and prospects and doubling his wages overnight. Songs like "We're all having a party when Matty Taylor dies" etc... and all this in a week where a former Rovers striker died aged 40 of illness.

Really sad how fans sink this low sometimes.

Precisely. If there is evidence of a re-build, with steady improvements on the pitch, a couple of barren seasons should not be an issue.

You spelt your username incorrectly. It should end with a k, not an e.

If you wish to scrutinize the celebration mannerisms of our players, then knock yourself out, fella.

Not a discussion topic for me.

Do people really give a st about the stupid dances/poses these spoilt brats do after scoring?

I’d be more annoyed at his second bookable dive in as many games

Don't let the fact he got kicked very clearly get in the way of tarring someone with a brush like the rest. They should appeal the yellow. Plenty of replays showed it was a clear foul.

James was booked for being kicked because unfortunately he already has a reputation for theatrical dives.

Not sure you can actually appeal it sadly.

Moron. You not James.

He was fantastic yesterday and not a single replay of his yellow vindicates the refs decision. He was wrong throughout the game. Appalling ref.

He scored a beauty in front of the Stretford End in his first full game at old Trafford with minutes left. Not many footballers do that. He can celebrate how he likes.

This is a 2 year rebuild and it’s going fking well as far as I’m concerned despite yesterday’s result.

Please keep mocking us and writing us off.

Look at that ste spurs have just served up. United will be comfortably in top four this season and that’s huge progress.
