As Hargreaves said, Bruno looks good value already. Hope Ed is feeling a bit sheepish for not getting him in summer. Lesson learnt? We can but hope!

Whilst I've long been one to jump on Woodward, barring Maguire we've started paying the right prices for the right players, hopefully this is the start of an improvement

For all we know Sporting were asking 75m in the summer and he called their bluff (stretching a bit here)

Quite excited by the prospect of Grealish too, more so than Sancho.
Right so that’s 3-0 at HT, a fifth late on would be nice...
I’ll put the tenner on Grealish coming in summer.
I think that one’s nailed on! Perfect fit for our club. So would Kane but we may have missed the boat there!

I know, what’s wrong with him? He was a great player in his own right, it’s like he’s scared of him. He’s not Roy Keane!

I know we only get paper-talk but i thought they wanted 60 in summer but upped it to 80 in January. You could be right though and yes, it’s much better to get the fees and wages under control. He still a useless git though biggrin

Bruno looks a class player and Fred has improved no end, the difference that makes to the whole team is huge.

They hit the post 3 times, I couldn't believe it when I watched the highlights. Should have been about 5-1!

Lingard? Good grief! He’s even worse than Chong.
If anyone deserves to be walking out of the door its him. he managed an assist but otherwise I'm not really sure what he is supposed to be doing? He doesn't score anymore and falls over looking for a foul any time he gets near another player. I don't know much about Chong but he could at least improve as he's very young but. Lingard just hasn't improved at all and doesn't seem likely to.

Anyone else wondering where Grealish/Maddison would fit in even if they were to come? With a midfield 3 of Bruno, Fred and McT in not sure where they would be placed? We need a right midfielder more imo so we should do all we can to try and sign Sancho. For me our best current 11 then is...

DDG

Wan Bailly Maguire Shaw

Fred McT

Sancho Bruno Rashy

Martial

So in that set up I'm not sure where Grealish/Maddison type player would slot in?

The draw is in a few hours for the European competition every football fan really cares about if they're honest with themselves.

Hoping we draw somebody quite close to home to do an away day in Europe, even Rangers would be alright since Glasgow is a great night. Avoiding Inter would be great unless they have to forfeit because of Coronavirus. Toughie.

You’ve got to have 2 good players in each position plus I think in time Fernandes will play in the number 8 position, Grealish typically plays somewhere between off the left and number 10 but don’t think he’d have a problem appearing from the right either. I don’t think you could keep Maddison, Grealish, Fernandes & Pogba all happy though and I can’t see us going for Maddison & Grealish.

I’d be happy with Grealish in, Pogba, Matic, Lingard, Pereira out and then another combative midfielder in alongside a forward.

All the rave reviews of James Garner I do think he’ll either be playing a bigger part next season or he’ll go on loan to get game time. He’s meant to ply like Carrick, recycles the ball well, plays the second or final pass nicely.

I am not United but if I was I think I would be delighted to buy Maddison and Grealish and tell Pogba and his agent to FRO, at a net cost of 30-40m

Only caught up with the highlights but it appears with Iggy we have a good out and out striker. Works hard, and looks to be putting himself in the right place in the box to score or create chances.

Rashford should still be number 1 when fit, but much prefer Iggy over Martial in centre forward role.

Agreed, Pogba can FRO and take his circus with him. We've got a team that finally looks galvanised and happy so that can't be broken.

We deffo don't need Grealish and Maddison but I'd happily take one of the other (preferably Grealish) but I'm still not sure where they would slot in. Squad depth is key though.

United will buy one of Grealish or Maddison not both ,don’t worry about where they would fit ,it’s the sort of worry we should have rather than worrying about pereira or Lingard starting .

Should we not be breaking the bank to try and get Greal in instead of someone who's a bit like him?
