Mike74(69) was last seen at a global flat earth meeting, berating them for letting Liverpool buy the VAR officials off ( its all due to alien lifeforms apparently running the whole show or some such nonsense)..

Here's hoping. I'm really liking the look of the squad now, there's real competition for places. I think Axel as long as he stays fit gives us a quality CB option. Cavani could/should be chipping in with goals too.

I might go back through the thread to read the aftermath, was a really strange day! Dejection after getting trounced by Spurs of all teams and then later in the evening after playing football, watching Villa taking Liverpool apart with bewilderment and joy!

No score prediction from me, but I do think we'll beat them, especially if we go in front.

I have no prediction to offer. The team is completely unpredictable at the moment. We could win by 4 or lose by 4 or anything in between.

But I will say this - I am looking forward to the game, and that has not always been the case in recent years!

I'd also like to see Cavani start, he's intelligent enough to cause their defence some real issues imo, his positioning looks excellent

Probably the best football we have seen since fergy left ,although that isn't a very high bar to reach.

Some of us ABUs still lurk to keep the arrogance in check (ie when you win two on the trot or get in the top half of the table) but Mike74 takes it to a whole new level ... I know ORD calls them bitter and I've always thought, well so would you be, but he is off the scale with the tin foil stuff.
