All the talk of Lampard / Solskjaer is way off the mark IMO. Both will be given time and both are steeped in the club’s methods which is what both clubs need.
I can honestly see OGS not lasting out September at the moment.Raygun said:
Too much romanticism with OGS and Lampard, both of them would've been better with someone like Rafa Benitez in charge (again with Chelsea).
Can't say I agree with that. He's lived the last 14 years on the back of a flukey cup win. Nobody rated him before that night and he's not done an awful lot since to change my mind.
I had a feeling it would be Garcia, should have really posted that earlier

The first Watford manager to last more than one season since 2013. https://twitter.com/MailSport/status/1170374770355...
11th last year and a FA Cup final. What exactly do the board expect?
Only 4 games into the season and he's sacked?

Granted, last season was pretty special for Watford fans compared to our long term history. But the facts above are the true story. Since the FA cup Semi Final, we have been atrocious - culminating in 0-6 against City and 0-3 vs Brighton on the opening day. However - the club also must share some of the blame. At Watford recruitment is carried out by a team for the coach - and defence has been ignored and ignored. Finally Dawson was bought for £5.5m this year, but has been the worst of the bunch.
