How Jose gets the best out of Kane will be interesting.
Kane doesn't play Mourinho football, his tactics are built around his teams making fewer 'mistakes' that lead to the opposition gaining possession than the other team, so Kane's game of get ball, shoot, won't last long.paulrockliffe said:
But Mourhino's style isn't to use wing backs to support a striker - crosses usually result in possession being lost. It might be stating the obvious, but it relies on Mourhinho completely changing his approach and this is the same conversation that took place when he moved to United, so there's evidence that he won't change to fit the players he has. Maybe he's learned, not sure his ego allows him to.
On mourinho I'd love to know what and why made him change from the more aggressive approach he played with Chelsea first time to what he is now. Is it just others caught up so he reverted to the min risk approach and never give ball away. Chelsea were fun to watch back then. I remember being terrified they would score for 85 minutes one May in 05 as they were such a front foot team.

Anyone else hoping the Spuds/Maureen union is going to be a total car crash? :here:
I don't care if it's a success or a failure as it's no different than Watford / Fulham / Crystal Palace / etc changing manager. It will be interesting to see how Mourinho gets on though as it doesn't appear to be a logical partnership. Perhaps Mourinho wants to prove himself by plaing attacking football, use a limited budget, develop youth players and bring success to a small club.

No decision has been made on whether Mohamed Salah or Andy Robertson are definitely out of trip to Crystal Palace. Salah did some individual work at Melwood outdoors yesterday, as did a couple of others Robertson, Joe Gomez still being assessed.

Milner can drop into LB if needed and Ox for Salah isn’t a total nightmare CellarDoor said:

Quite, you have to ask yourself why, given Spurs are such a small club so many liverpool fans are completely obsessed with them? it doesn't make sense does it? some lunatics are so obsessed with them they keep making up new identities to troll the footie threads, imagine how sad you must be to do something like that.

Spurs never used to register on my radar really until I came here and read the windups every day. Seeing them lose now isn't quite like seeing Utd stumble but almost. I expect several others here feel the same, even if they say they don't care about Spurs. Still, I think a few Liverpool fans enjoying your stumbling season is the least of your worries!Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
