We've never HAD an Asian player on our books have we? He certainly played well on Wednesday. I wonder how much of this is a financial "appealing to that market" transfer...if he does sign I hope he does well.
I know what you mean about financial appealing but Klopp is not that kind of manager, if we signed him it will because he believes he improves the squad... m3sye said:

Agreed..I just wonder if there would be an initial conversation somewhere that said "you know what we're missing? Someone representing that market...is there anyone we could at least look at?".Ultimately its big business, after all.

Difficult to see where any incoming team would fit into the team at the moment. Even with a few injuries were still performing and looking strong.
Perhaps looking for a quality back-up to sit on the bench as a back-up to Mane/Salah and Firmino. Despite talking up of Shaq from Klopp recently, he still is getting limited playing time and I reckon he will probably be moved on at some point. What Shaq lacks in tracking back eagerness and pace of a gazelle, Minamino could potentially fulfil. Also 4 years younger.ChocolateFrog said:

Brewster and Curtis are apparently going out on loan come January. I see Mini'mo as a long term replacement for Lallana and he can also be an option for any of the front three (especially Firmino who we don't really have a backup for currently) as he started his career as a forward.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
