In other news, Balotelli (who has scored just 5 goals for Brescia since joining them in August), got sent off 9 minutes after coming on as a sub today - for a 2nd bookable offence. hehe

Him in red thankfully seems a long time ago now.

Strange, wiki says 2014/2015, didn't know it, or forgot about it entirely. Was under the impression he only played for City in England.

Shows how football works, there's still hope for United.

That WAS funny. Clear to everyone there except Carra that Utd's recruitment has been an issue for a few years.
Can’t believe there was an argument in a room with Graeme Souness that he wasn’t involved in hehe

On a side note, are Man U still in their Souness phase?

I can see them not winning the league for the next 10 to 15 years.

With the right business and manager they could be back in 3-4 years - obviously I hope not.

Unconvinced about Ole yet guess we will see.

They'll stick with Ole for at least until the mid-late next season. If they fire him, the next manager will need at least 18 months to get a top four squad together and 2-3 seasons to mount a title challenge. I think they're at least 5 years from a serious title challenge and it isn't going to happen with Ole. With any luck Ole will stumble Utd into the top four every so often and last a few years.

Beyond 5 years and it's anyone's guess. Look where we were just 5 years ago!

No better feeling than waking up the morning of a United defeat.

Tbh as long as Woodward is running the club united will be st regardless of manager ,we’d be in this position with Klopp with woody in charge .

Genuine question, why?

He seems to back you whenever you want a player? Surely your scouts and managers have been to blame more?
Also do Klopp would never put up with something not working, like Ole would. He was desperate for the job and will just be a yes man for those above.

I do agree with Franki somewhat. If rumours are to be believed Woodward had the final say on which players Moyes and Jose brought in, infamously vetoing Jose's request for Toby Alderweireld.

Woodward has also overpaid for players and been crap at getting any money for the players they've sold/given away, resulting in less funds being available for more incomings. He's also completely screwed up the wage structure there.

You saw it at Arsenal; I believe Wenger would be capable of creating a title winning team with owners like FSG, but not Kroenke. Now Wenger has gone, you can see the teams true level. Same if Klopp had gone to Utd. I think he'd easily get them into the top four, but with the Glazers and Woodward he'd be operating with one armed tied behind his back and I doubt even being the best manager in the World he could have them challenging for titles.

Does he give the managers what they want ?

The transfer policy with 4 consecutive managers has been a shambles.
The clubs injury record has been a disgrace for a long time ,at one point a few years ago we had 9 defenders in the squad all injured ,this is not bad luck .
Nothing has been done to rectify it,
Highlighted recently because OGS wanted to bring in a new physio ,deal agreed (Celtic physio ) but the board never sorted out all the arrangements and the guy got fed up and told them to stuff it .
