VAR is not the issue, its the idiots who are manning it who dont want to over rule the man on the pitch - if that is the case tell the man on the pitch to watch the monitor if there is any bit of doubt..
VAR could 100% work if it was used properly like this.
It's the system I am opposed to, it doesn't provide any consistency and if anything, it's become a bigger problem than the problem it was designed to fix. Rugby and tennis seem to have found a way of making it work, even though it's not perfect.

Correct, which is why for me it need to be down to the man on the pitch when its a decision that needs looking at...

It worked well in the World Cup as well, you'd have thought they would've mirrored what they did there. But no banghead

Totally agree Sye the Ref should be going to the monitor, when VAR started it took months before any Ref looked at the monitor, yet elsewhere in Europe the Refs do

they did get told this season to start doing it, I can't remember was it mid way through? They started but seem to have gone back to normal again..surely can't be that hard can it.

We're having drinks breaks now so surely can afford time for ref to run to screen to check a decision is right.

Can’t wait for this last two games to be over, then Carlo can sack 80% of the squad then start from there. The last three games, it’s the worst Everton team ever no fight or passion.

Listening to the game on the radio. Its not helped by a poor night's sleep, but i may fall asleep in the second half if things don't improve

Decent 3 points that. 2nd half better than the first.

I know Hilly but we’re not the only ones, it must feel very strange for all involved and I don’t think we can draw too many conclusions. That said, I think we have a top class player in Richarlison, he seems to be a complete player. On the downside, I think Pickford needs to up his game or move on.

Maybe a strong number 2 to push him for first choice keeper would help?

I like Holgate, Coleman has another season in him as well. I think a central defender, defensive midfielder and winger are on the shopping list. I dont think there will be a huge amount of cash splashed.

Hojberg from Southampton doesn't overly excite me. It seems like he'd prefer to go to Spurs, not sure why we've gone in with another bid if he doesn't want to play for us

I can see why this thread is bare! Another awful performance and it’s hard to know where to start, so I won’t.

I feel sorry for Bournemouth, but there’s something very wrong at Everton just now. Money wasted and no soul, I turned over to watch the cricket at half time.
