We've been poor since the restart bar the Liverpool game and maybe the Leicester game. Maybe its because we had nothing to play for?

I see a few sources are saying we've agreed terms with Allan. Hopefully that's the defensive side of midfield sorted, we really have missed Gaye this season

Haven't you spent about half a million in transfer fees in the last 5 years or so? Mental money!

Ancelotti is a class manager, but when I look at your squad I don't see any class players except Richarlison. Pickford is average, Walcott is poor, Sigurdsson is getting on (although on his day is class), Iwobi was massively overpirced and isn't any good, Tom Davies is average and Coleman is getting on too.

I like Holgate and Digne, both good players.

All depends on where Richarlison will play with regard to who you sign, so you either need another striker or a winger. I'd say a winger is key though, none of yours seem any good at all. You're unlikely to achieve European football with Walcott and Iwobi on the wings IMO.

Shame about Baines retiring, class player over the years.

This is all an outsiders perspective, so I'll only watch highlights and when you're on TV, so be kind if I've got stuff wrong.

You’ve certainly got the ‘half a million’ wrong!

My own view is that there are structural issues at the club, maybe Bill needs to go now if only because it’s obvious the current structure is failing. Too many managers and directors of football, too many expensive journeymen, too much time wasted naval gazing,

We do at least have world class manager now, so I hope they give him full reign and give it a go. But this is Everton!

We've wasted so much money its unreal frown

Why we keep buying players that can't get in to the first team of clubs we want to leapfrog is beyond me. They're not good enough to be in a top 6 team, so generally they won't be good enough to make the difference for us to make the step up banghead

Oh yes, that should obviously have been half a billion haha.

You took Steve Walsh the scout from us and I was certain he'd sign some gems for you, but he only lasted about a year before he was given the boot and his signings looked pretty poor anyway!

I've just been looking at some of your player contracts, Pickford on 100k a week?! Bolasie 75k a week. Walcott & Schneiderlin both on 100k each too? 375k there on poor or average players, silly money. I imagine you'll be in for the same targets as us, players like Sarr from Watford, Fraser and Brooks from Bournemouth.

Can see you ending up with Zaha too, overated but definitely better than bloody Walcott.

I think your big challenge will be hanging on to your better players, I can’t see many clubs wanting too many of ours, Digne and Richarlison possibly.

My hope now is that Ancelotti gets the backing and that Bill finally retires, I’m not suggesting it’s all his fault, but I think there are too many cooks at Everton. I am still optimistic that a few key changes will make a big difference, we have big problems in midfield which once addressed could impact on the whole team. Pickford is a conundrum, we need a decent No2 but probably have bigger issues to address.

I was disappointed to see Leicester miss out, some teams seem to have coped better than others with lockdown, Manure have been outstanding.

I think the only one we might lose is Chilwell, but it's gonna take 55-60m to prize him away from us, and that's very good money for a full back that isn't THAT good. Chelsea were meant to be interested in him (as well as Digne apparently), but I think they'll eventually look abroad as both our clubs will want too much money for PL proven full backs.

Other one I was worried about was Maddison, but he signed a new contract this morning.

Ultimately our downful was playing too many games in a short space of time, outside of our starting 11 the rest of our players are poor, the advantage we had was that other teams played loads of games, domestic ones and European, as soon as Covid kicked in the advantage we had disappeared because we were playing the same amount of games a week. Can't grumble at Europa League though, even if we can't attend games I'd imagine hundreds of us will still travel over.

EDIT: Just saw the Bournemouth highlights, another Pickford error for the 3rd goal? How often is he going to keep getting away with them?

I keep seeing us being linked with Romero from United. I think he could challenge Pickford for the number 1 spot, something that we've not had before. Pickford knows he's spot is safe as houses at the moment, hopefully a strong number 2 would make him buck his ideas up!

Only positive from yesterday is that it was the final game of a season that should have been canned.

I'm not full of fume... Just disappointment.

Baines will be missed and I hope he stays on in a coaching role.

I can see why this thread is bare! Another awful performance and it’s hard to know where to start, so I won’t.

I feel sorry for Bournemouth, but there’s something very wrong at Everton just now. Money wasted and no soul, I turned over to watch the cricket at half time.
I like you Blue just despair to how this club gets it so wrong for so long, I literally have had enough unless we give Carlo free reign it will be total crap once again.

Looks like Delph to Leeds for £5m, not sure if we have to pay them the lot up front or whether it’s in instalments! The clear out has started and hopefully a few more will be gone quickly.

I can kind of see why we signed him, but he wasn't what we needed. Dowell has gone as well, he had great promise, but sadly didn't push on like we hoped. Hopefully he has a good career at Norwich

Dowell is one of those who you really want to break through, I felt the same about Osman when he was on loan at Carlisle, he made it but many don’t. Rumours of Besic to Bournemouth, another who showed great promise.

Besic didn’t show anything, average at best in terms of premier league standard.

Everton have been monitoring Brentford’s left back Rico Henry all season but any deal will be a non starter if Brentford win the playoffs.

There was a genuine expectation up until the Leicester game that Baines would re sign for another year and a left back wouldn’t be required but Baines retirement has made a left back a priority as Brands wants 2 players for each position.

Numerous complaints from Everton supporters ordering the new kit and training wear; the new kit manufacturer Hummel have opted to stick on the badge where as most manufacturers stitch on or apply the badge with embroidery.
Lots of badges falling off within first few washes.
Hummel embarrassed.
Everton missed the chance to influence the new away kit which is revealed tomorrow.
Everton insisting the 3rd kit will have a embroidered club badge,

I see a few links popping up about Leon Bailey to Everton. I think he'd be a great signing, a real upgrade on what we've got

Loving the new away kit, just hope they perform like they did in the late 60s and 70s when it first came in

Will the glue on badge last more than 2 washes?

Reports on BBC Sport that Koeman is wanted by Barca. If that happens we might see the demise of one of the great European Clubs
