Looks like we are finally going to get the Allan deal over the line, I like the fact that this is very much an Ancelotti signing, hope he excels for us. In other news Kean to Juve on loan, makes sense and maybe he can develop there.

Looks like it's inching closer doesn't it? James Rodriguez on a free could be interesting as well, and I think Doucoure would be an upgrade on what we've got in that position as well

Stadium update today with some new design on the Mersey facing side. Now has a stepped concourse. Looks great!

I'm not counting my chickens until we contract Phil or whatever he's called and the player in a blue shirt.

See we were linked to Suárez yesterday. Horrible little rat but id take him. It would be worth it for the fume alone laugh

How many midfielders do you have? It's all I ever see you sign!

Surely you'd be better off spending the James Rodriguez money on a better keeper or a striker who's gonna get you 15-20 goals? Or has Richarlison been swapped to a striker permanently?

I think the plan is to play Richie alongside DCL, he played there a few times last season. Rodriguez looks like he'll either be free, or very cheap (wages aside).

It's a shame Leicester have sold Chilwell, I was surprised they let him go and make a top 4 rival stronger

What formation will you play, 4312 or something similar? Siggy behind DLC and Richarlison? Then Kean can come in when one of the strikers needs a rest.

He seems to be overated a little IMO, 50m + add ons is fantastic business and we're self sufficient, so we sell 1 key player every summer to buy 2 or 3 others, then go again. New training ground is 100m, plus stadium expansion is on the horizon soon, so we needed to sell one player minimum.

Rodriguez can play either left, right, or behind the strikers which gives more options. I'm not sure if Gylfi will be more than back up in all honesty.

Good to see Vardi extend his contract as well

Gazetta is reporting that the Moise Kean loan to Juve includes Ramsey coming the other way. I rate Ramsey but not sure where he would fit, surely he’s another 10?

No chance Ramsey comes IMO. I think he'll stay at Juventus personally.

I've not seen much of Allan, but I've heard he's a tidy little player.

I think James Rodriguez will do alright, but nothing spectacular. It's about time you started signing players who aren't midfielders biggrin

Agree on Ramsey, its probably just more paper talk because I just can't see where he'd fit in, other than on the treatment table. We need to revamp our midfield, I think it was our main weakness in most of the games I watched and hope that Gomes drop in form was due to his recovery from injury. The likes of Delph and Davies need to move on IMO, so I think Carlo is right to make it his priority.

So much for moving forward, no mark Keene signs new 5 year deal. He is one player I thought we would have moved on, mostly a liability. Ah well that’s Everton I suppose.

Be interesting to see Rodriguez in the PL, was one of my fave players of that world cup and felt he would become one of the best in the world.

Imo he made the wrong move after that and got played out of position at the club's he been at since.

If you do get him and use him properly like Columbia did and if he gets some form back he's going to be a very useful addition.

Keene did pretty well after lockdown, and Carlo has identified the midfield and goalkeeper as areas to improve on. I think we'll see another right back, or Kenny getting some game time but nobody new in the centre of defence. We can keep clean sheets, but we're not producing enough opportunities from the midfield for Richie or DCL to feed off.

Rodriguez looks like it could be done by Wednesday. I'm hoping he does well for us, i hope he has the desire and ability the what desperately need. Otherwise he's going to be a massive drain on the wage bill eek

I haven't really seen much of Keane, so can't comment on him like all you Everton lads can. What I will say though, is that every defender looks class in Burnleys team because of how they play.

Saying that, we're meant to be signing Dwight McNeil this week, so we'll see how our Burnley signing goes.

Agreed Hilly, but it’s not all about pace depending on who is around him. For now I think we have to trust in Carlo.
