Zaha a few years ago, yes, Zaha now I'm not so sure. I'd rather we spent a little more on Leon Bailey if he'd come.
I see there's talk of having Olsen on loan again, he'd slot back in nicely. Although I see we're keen on Sergio Romero, we'd have to pay for him but I do think he's better than Olsen.
God I hate pre-season transfer rumours!

Zaha would be a silly signing, would cost 40m and would be on 150k+ a week, avoid and let him see out his career at Palace. Buendia is the one you should be going for!
I can't believe you finished 10th btw, that's absolutely ridiculous! Trying to keep that midfield trio together should be a priority. DCLs early season form was what had you so high up the table for so long, you'll need him to produce the goods again next season.

At the risk of sounding all Football Manager, I quite like Pereira at West Brom. He's right sided which is what we need, and scored 11 at a side that got relegated and is 25 so is a better age than Zaha.I can't believe you finished 10th btw, that's absolutely ridiculous! Points wise we ended up on 59 which would be enough for 6th or 7th most seasons. The Wolves games was the first game we could play Allan, Doucoure and James together for several months, and James has played more minutes this season than he had since the 15/16 season from memory. I think having a squad with the depth of a shallow puddle hasn't helped us, we had a few games with 2 keepers and some kids sat on the bench. We had spome decent games, and some real shockers. I'm glad we didn't finish in the 3rd European tournament as we wouldn't have a big enough squad to cope. I'm hoping there are a few players out the door and a few more in the door and we find some consistancy next season.
What do you make of Leicesters season? I'm glad the won the FA Cup (more so as I had a cheek bet on them ), but thought they should've finished top 4

Bamford from Leeds?
Would cost too much compared to what he's worth IMO. They'd demand 40m, you just won't pay that sort of money for someone who's almost 28 and had 1 decent season in the EPL.Fast Bug said:

We're actually linked with Pereira and I think he'd be good in any team except Man City and Liverpool, meant to have a relegation clause as well, not sure if it's related to his wages or a fee for his transfer though.Points wise we ended up on 59 which would be enough for 6th or 7th most seasons. Fantastic season, most of us thought we'd be 8th-12th from memory of votes on our forum, so to finish 5th whilst winning the FA Cup and getting to the last 16 of the EL was class. However, you can't look past the fact we've been in a commanding position twice in two seasons and flumped to 5th both times. We've had plenty of injuries though and in essence the squad just didn't have enough quality on the bench, much like yourselves. If it wasn't for Iheanachos run of form we'd have finished where you did. Thankfully it looks like Tielemans is staying for another season and the 3 or 4 signings we're making will no doubt be class (Soumare from Lille already agreed for around 20m).
Related to that, that's the sort of signing you should be making. Young but experienced, cheap because French teams need the money, wages will be fairly low and will only improve as a player, and if he becomes class, you'll get 60+ million pounds for him come the day you sell him. Much better than people like Zaha.
PS. That FA Cup win will forever live in my memory, was sat just behind the goal where Tielemans smashed it in

Yes. It you won’t sign any decent players without it.
You'll still sign good players without European football, wages in the EPL are far higher than elsewhere and it's still a much better league than most places, arguably the best in the world for players to get recognised. The only ones who'll be bothered are those at top clubs who are currently playing CL football, but with respect, most of them won't be signing for Everton anyway, regardless.Leicester Loyal said:

You spend a lot and raise supporters hope for a few weeks but then they are even more p1ssed off when they realise nothing has changed.
Who would Zaha replace for example? Richarlison? Is that any improvement? Not really.

Real Madrid sniffing around Carlo by all accounts
If you believe twitter its a done deal. If he left it would be a massive blow and I can't see where we would go from here but if he turns them down we are massive! My money is on Howe if its true... We're fked either way.
