Nkounkou had another good game, I think we might have a really good player in the making there! Digne didn't look out of place in the centre of defence either, he's probably too small to play there often but handy for cover should we need it. Pickford was fairly solid, but some of his distribution was awful, a couple of times he hoofed it to West Hams keeper

To be fair Nearly all goalies often hoof the ball straight through to the oppo goalie. You either play out from the back all the time or you accept that this happens.

I’m hoping Pickford improves and starts making less mistakes as the team grows with confidence. I don’t honk we could be singling out players for cutting criticism when we are on the up, in top of our game. Let’s keep it constructive and not turn into those arm chair experts we see elsewhere.

Pickford just needs to get his confidence back. A loan spell should do it. There must be an under twelves team that needs a goalie somewhere.

Good Teams rarely Get overturned two games in a row. The Liverpool team that turns up Next weekend isn’t going to be the same team that lost to Villa, even if it’s mostly the same names.

Have to say I don’t get what Digne did. He seemed to step on the saints players ankle/foot whilst running into him, didn’t actually look like a tackle, just kind of a clumsy collision.

Looked painful.

Which isn’t a red card offence. It’s accidental. According to reports we could have got it repealed if we had launched the correct kind of appeal. Instead of asking for it to be overturned we asked for the punishment to be less. Which was granted.
