Sky are confirming the appointment and it will be announced before the game on Wednesday
In other news, a friend has text me to point out that Carlo Ancelotti is an anagram for clitoral octane! I hope we pull our finger out and don’t fanny about with getting him signed. It's now reported that he is actually joining us, ironing out his severance deal with Napoli, I still don't quite believe it. Similarly, it's reported in the printed edition of Gazetta that a meeting was held between Ancelotti and Usmanov in London where he received assurances on transfer budget and length of contract. It all seems a little far fetched to me, but I guess we will find out soon enough.

Why far fetched Blue? money talks these days, you only have to look at how many people bugger off to China If he is being paid enough and was promised a big enough transfer budget highly likely he will go, probably his last payday before retirement to so if you have the cash why not.
An incredible appointment and probably the best manager you will ever have.
It'll certainly be a challenge for Ancelotti as he has managed PSG, Real, Bayern and Napoli over the past few years.
All ready made teams but you could argue Napoli need a bit of a refresh to their squad right now and he has been relieved of his duties with them underperforming.
He without a doubt demands respect so I bet yourselves hope he can drum up that passion that Ferguson has done so In the two games he was manager.
The calibre of players you may attract may rise now too because of Don Carlo.

I can't see the attraction of a struggling prem team to a bloke who has achieved pretty much everything in the game and I don't think he needs another fat pay day, so can't imagine that will really be in his thinking. I am also a lifelong Evertonian, so pessimism is my natural disposition. The curious story is the involvement of Usmanov, but it could just be mischief making by the Italian press.

Rumours I read is he is going to be 3rd highest paid manager, I imagine you could be in the championship and he would still go... Look at Rafa in China at a club no one has heard of.. The curious story is the involvement of Usmanov, but it could just be mischief making by the Italian press.
So it seems talk of Ancelotti may have been a little premature, although trawling the web reveals that there is an on going dialogue, who or what to believe?
If we beat Leicester tomorrow night then I would hope Duncan will get the chance to take the reigns for the foreseeable, provided he wants the job of course.

.
Blue I think it’s going to happen, especially as Arteta talks with Arsenal are advanced, it was my worry that Arsenal would hijack our bid for Ancelotti .
