In 58 years of me following them this is the worst Everton team I have ever seen.
Yup.We had chances (ok 1 chance ) in the liverpool game. We had multiple chances in the villa game. We looked alright for 40 mins against Arsenal (away). Dyche MO is to nick a goal and keep the lead. That plan doesnt work if we cant score. He won at both the Emirates and Anfield with Burnley...
(See the other Arsenal game and the Leeds game for correct implementation)
Hopefully the squad keep the faith after the eventual drubbing we took. I must admit to wavering a bit, he seems to try something once then discard it (Simms, wheras in contrast he persistd with Maupay). And refuses to play Gray.

I think we are "allright" / meh / average - apart from up front. Which is obviously a big fking problem.

100% agree. I think we had 15 shots against Villa, we just don't have anyone that's good enough to put some of those away. We really need to try Gray up top as Maupay isn't doing it and sadly Sims doesn't have the quality or confidence. We had chances (ok 1 chance ) in the liverpool game. How the board have let us get in this situation I don't know. Why give it the Billy big balls about getting a forward amd not do ot? We knew long before the transfer window what was required, they surely knew we couldn't rely on DCL, so why not have someone lined up as soon as the window opened? Are really that skint that we couldn't afford one?

To a point, yes we are. (Although possibly the Gordon money shifted things a touch, my understanding is we could have spent that 45m)How the board have let us get in this situation I don't know. We had a chance at Ollie Watkins when he fell out with Gerrard (apparently). Not sure if they played hard ball over price, or if we were in the 1m upfront stage at that point...Or Weren't that arsed because we had Maupay (depending when our interest was) and the expectation of DCL back. We've ended up paying the best part of 30m for Maupay and McNeil, albeit in installments
There's clearly a dearth of options that means I can't completely castigate the board. FFP + available at a good price + installments+ "wants to come" is a pretty dire equation
But that doesn't completely excuse it. They should have scoured the world from after - or, preferably, before - the summer window shut, and ramped it up during the world cup. Heck, get 5 unknown Africans (or outer mongolian's) in for 1m each on 10k - 20k a week and see what they can do. I repeat, there must be someone. Surely? (And then we could all slag them off when they flop )
And last chance saloon..... no one in world football is out of contract and would play on a 4 month contract with a massive goals bonus / avoid relegation bonus? Ronaldo.? (I jest, Niasse is more like it). And why let Rondon go? Ok, cos he's crap. But he would have been an option...
I've said before, I'll say again. We needed a striker. Newcastle wanted Gordon. We should have made that (edit: Woods) a condition of the sale. (Then we could have slagged him off ) Plus we'd have about half the first team being ex Burnley players....(that's not a positive, certainly if we afford ourselves a glance into our long-term future - which is something we are in no position to do at the moment)
Edit: Or Ings...

Interesting and positive article on Sky Sports that Moshiri is doing something about the board.
Too late for this season (and previous seasons) IF it all happens but better late than never so to speak.
Sunday is absolutely huge. We need a win as always. God knows how Dyche will do it but I hope he does.

Also sounds like the MSP is going to come to pass, which is important I think. Too late for this season (and previous seasons) IF it all happens but better late than never so to speak.

Absolutely! If they bring money and professionalism to the club then fantastic! I don’t know anything about them so can only hope that is the case.
They are involved in a few clubs, so hopefully bring some knowledge with them, get on the board, and steer the ship, instead of Bill, Sharpy, & Mrs Headlock.Fast Bug said:
I think the 2 biggest issues are Moshiri and Kenwright, if these new guys buy a minority stake they still can't do anything about the 2 clowns at the top (well 3 if it's true about Usmanov)
Moshiri is naive, I think. I don't mind him staying on the proviso that the board is replaced by competent people, who know how to run a club, to increase revenue, to get the best deals from sponsorship, and who know what needs to be done to get success on the field. We don't have that. We have BK, who thinks he is a football genius, but is just a hobbyist who relies on the fact he is a fan. Sharpy who was a footballer. He has no business acumen, experience of negotiations, or even running as a director of football, etc, and Mrs Headlock who ran a charity, I believe. This needs to be ran as a business, and it needs serious business people involved at board level. The football matters should be dealt with by the DOF, and I don't think that has been the case.

Bournemouth score after 7 seconds vs Arsenal at the Emirates. We couldn't manage it in 90 minutes
Hopefully Arsenal turn it around
Back on topic, Forest unbeaten in 8 at home, and we've got 3 away wins over the past 2 seasons...(25 odd games)
It’s just got worse Bournemouth 2 up now.Hopefully Arsenal turn it around
