Oh st.
I thought they were satisfied once we sold Richarlison? Why has it reemerged? Apart from anything else it's a bit of a piss take on Burnley, assuming the charge holds.News said:
Everton have been referred to an independent commission by the Premier League over an alleged breach of financial fair play rules.
The Premier League did not specify in their statement the specifics of the club's rule breach.
However, Everton have posted financial losses in several recent seasons.
The league said the alleged breach is from the 2021-22 campaign, during which the Merseyside club narrowly avoided relegation.

I think it's fair to say our "covid losses" were "a bit on the high side" but AFAIK they were accepted without question?
We should be flush now after further selling Gordon and Moise Kean?
I've read a few things that the falling foul of FFP is due to the Dele deal. We've got him on our books at zero cost and Spurs show him as a £40m sale.
Now technically he is a free signing if he plays less than 20 games for us. I think at appearance 20 we have to pay £20m to Spurs, so I'm not quite sure how this is falling on us?

Read a piece in the MOS this morning it’s not looking great on the fair play finance rules, I can see us getting a points reduction, as the league say they can get it done before the end of the season, Burnley and Leeds will love that.
How many points off for this would you reckon? I think we are gone.
How does the club get itself in this position ?
Presumably the finance department has all the numbers and knows the FFP calculations so knows if they are getting close to a breach.
Or did they know but think they would get away with it? Or has something suddenly swung the numbers? Hard to know what that might be though

Especially as we’ve won nothing. Nadda. Nowt. Presumably the finance department has all the numbers and knows the FFP calculations so knows if they are getting close to a breach.

Be different if we had some silverware, but how do we break the rules and remain so crap?
I wonder about all the money the managers have siphoned off the club over the last decade? Does this spend come into FFP?
Considering the league have been rubber stamping us signing players, I'm not quite sure how we're in this position. I'd also like to think we'd appeal any potential points deductions in order to tie things up for a longer period of time.
From what I've read it's a review board that will make the call, so I don't think it will be done and dusted in the next month or so. And surely City would be up before us? And there's been nothing more said about them and dodgy payments for a while now?

Appeals, going to court should extend it beyond this season,I reckon.
You could easily tie the process up for months with appeals, there's no way it'll be done and dusted before the end of the season.alfa phil said:
12 points deducted next season then , in the premiership or the championship it's all going bloody difficult.
I think it's "only" 9 pts for going into administration so deffo won't be 12. If applied to this season 3 pts would probably be enough but I can't see them pushing it through whilst City have 100+ breaches outstanding. Prob be a fine or a transfer banBig game tonight. Presumably DCL starts?
