Looks like Frank is going to be caretaker manager at Chelsea until the end of the season. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on with "better" players
I don't understand that decision at all.
Chelsea is a stshow. It needs a top top top manager ((c) talking heads) to come in, bang some heads, work out a best team, sell half a dozen (they got nigh on 40 first teamers I think, although some on loan), bring in a striker, and get some stability.

Potter was the right idea, although with hindsight they might as well have stuck with Tuchel.

Nagelsman would be my pick, if he'd come...Lampard is a ridiculous decision, he was out of his depth first time round (although I think he was a little harshly treated). He got no chance now, especially on a temp contract

At least a draw today would be good.

Big game next weekend against Fulham.

3 teams odds on now for relegation (first time that's happened I think this season?). Southampton Forest and Leicester. Latter 2 in freefall, and hopefully City will do the business against Southampton in a few minutes.

Surprisingly Bournemouth are 4th favs with us 5th

Let's hope the bookies are right.

Thought we played ok today, a bit too ok, in that we took the game to them and left massive gaps. Shooting practice for Utd though, must have had nigh on 20 attempts first half

Lose that Phil and we fully deserve to go down.

That's ridiculous, the amount of time it has taken
He could have been playing or sold to raise some money

Guess there must have been reason for the arrest though

Nobody would or will touch him.

I suspect like the Greenwood case that people have changed or withdrawn their evidence.

Wonder what happens now. It’s disgraceful how someone’s career is devastated for essentially no crime as been committed. He will of course have no recourse.

Not enough evidence for a prosecution doesn't mean a crime wasn't committed. I think they most people believe he was having sex with a child.

They had enough evidence to charge him and for the case to be active for 2 years. Answers are needed why they have dropped it now.

His court dates kept being pushed back, so it felt obvious a while back that there was a lack of evidence. I guess we'll never really know the whole story.

Remember the old guy celebrating Keane's late rocket against Spurs? Everton in the community invited him to Finch Farm where he met some of the players. If we could run the club half as well as we run the community side, we'd never have any worries again

Didn't realise we only had 2 "decent" home games left, this one and the last day of season vs Bournemouth and only 4 in total (city and Newcastle). Might need to find some away points, dare I say wins??

As such, it's "must win" tomorrow despite the fact I can't see many teams around us picking up points this weekend. 1 point in 5 and 4 straight defeats for Fulham. No Mitrovic

Rumours of DCL starting? (Toffee TV match preview. https://youtu.be/Q_0G8HaHAjI)

The other teams this weekend (rehashed from the relegation thread)

Hopefully Palace beat Southampton who are at home and the only one who might get something IMO. Don't think Palace are realistically in the race anymore, and the sooner they are safe the sooner they can get on the beach before we play them at Selhurst Park.

Forest also have only 4 home games left and 3 of them are shockers, their only really winnable home game is when they host Southampton. Home to Utd tomorrow

Leicester play City. Nuff said

Bournemouth away to spuds. Fingers crossed

West Ham play Arsenal. Little bit worried but I don't think WH are really in it, and hopefully Arsenal will batter them. Not checked but I don't Arsenal's away form is stellar?

Leeds play Liverpool Monday night. Hopefully Liverpool turn up, seem to have a nasty habit of losing to teams around us

DCL was back training on grass the other day. I'm not quite sure what that means, but I know I'd start Simms over Maupay
