We showed some spirit last night, they battered Leicester a couple of weeks ago and given our fixture list and injuries I thought we did ok. We looked tired and some of our passing was woeful, especially Siggy and Davies. I hope that Carlo will be looking to improve our midfield, we lack the quality to challenge the top six at the moment. Overall though I think the team is showing the right sort of spirit, much happier than I was a couple of months ago. COYB and happy new year!
We are heading in the right direction now after all picking the team is make do and mend, but when we get our injurie list cleared and hopefully a couple of decent signing it will get much better

I genuinely don’t give a toss about Sunday as long as it’s close.

I'm not confident we'll win, but I'm hoping it'll be closer than the last time we played them!

In my view Liverpool and City are in a league of their own this season, so I expect nothing from those games, it won’t be results against them that will define our season. I sincerely hope that under Carlo we finally see some direction and development, we’ve been treading water for too long. Looking back I think we should’ve given Martinez more time, he’s a better manager than Koeman or Silva, but that’s my personal view. Ancelotti is a top manager and we have got to get behind him and the players.

Very true. As you say there may be setbacks but we have to trust CA which I think now is a great appointment, and he will do well

Interesting article in the FT today (sorry Can’t post link) about Usmanov and Everton. Long and short of it is that he couldn’t do a deal with Kroenke so walked and would now consider investing in Everton if Moshiri asked him to. It’s also reported that he brokered the deal to get Carlo. I’ve never known what to make of the rumours and still refuse to get carried away, but the FT is a rather more credible source than most.

I read the other week that he was the the one that brokered the Ancelotti deal. One of his companies also sponsors the training ground and it's been reported one of his other companies is supplying the steel for the new training ground.

Other than that he has no interest in the club laugh

Sye why don’t you just fk off its boring now. Ok RS are the best team now only, because standards have slipped from the rest, but a couple of seasons you will be searching for a new manager and players

I don't think Klopp will put out the same kind of team that he did against Villa. Hopefully it'll be a lot closer than the last game...

Totlly agree, his hands were tied there, think we will have some youth but not full.. I reckon we will see from liverpool

Adrian
Nat Phillips
Nico williams
Minamino
Origi
Lallana
Brewster
Curtis jones
Harvey elliot

Then a couple of other 1at teamers

I expect you full strength so no idea which way it will go, I'll be sat in the main stand thankfully Kop end hehe

I'm not going and will likely hide in a cave to avoid the missiles (I mean score) until after it finishes.

fking having a party if we do them though. Dry January will be toast!

Not so sure HairyMac, think our team choice will give you guys a much better chance( I hope its not as severe as above but I get it if he does) , I expect over 2.5 goals in the game so shoud be a good atmosphere to.
