I'm not really sure we can blame Dyche either. We've essentially got the same first 11 as we've had for a few seasons now, we're just treading water as we circle the plug hole
The positive for you is there are 3 or 4 worse teams.I'm not really sure we can blame Dyche either. We've essentially got the same first 11 as we've had for a few seasons now, we're just treading water as we circle the plug hole

Leicester were "too good to go down" last year. I'm not certain you could even apply that monika to us currently. Not won since December (Vs Burnley?), Man Utd away up next and then a 3 week break.
We're not completely awful. We just can't score for, ahem, toffee

If Luton win this from 2 down we are really bang in trouble. (Would put them 5 clear of us -6). It's currently 2-2
I just hate what we have become in the last 8 years, before that we did have a decent side, never gonna set the world on fire but we never had this crap week in week out. Ever since Moshri bought the club it’s been one disaster after another. I am tired of all this crap, I am getting to the point when we lose I don’t get upset anymore.

Agreed 100% We were in / on the cusp of top 4, and finished above Liverpool 11 or so years ago 3 seasons running. Logically, if you add 500m plus (I've lost count) to that squàd you should be improving, not fighting relegation. The difference in both çlubs fortunes has been stark, to say the least. Not sure if we are cursed, certainly feels like it. Thought I too was past caring. Was resigned to not winning today, but think I was trying reverse psychology on myself, and when the defeat came, it's hit hard
Villa won. Results gone for us. Apart from the one that mattered most

Thats right a win today and we don't give 2fks what the rest do , but we are not capable of a win .Not sure if we are cursed, certainly feels like it. Thought I too was past caring. Well and truly pissed off tonight .
Lots of rumours flying around about other clubs in peril of PSR rules. We know of Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Manchester City, rumours now circulating of Villa and Leicester in peril too. If this many clubs are in breach, it shows either the rule isn not fit for purpose, or the rule has previously been honoured more in the breach than the observance, but now the rug has been pulled without notice to save face for the PL and to stave off a regulator.
If Villa are in trouble, this just shows that all it does is protect the status quo with the monied clubs using the rules to cherry pick from the others keeping them suppressed. The game is gone.

The rules were only ever introduced to protect the status quo. A quote from years back was that they didn’t want another Leicester City to happen again.
One day I’ll bin it all off and find another hobby, it’s not happened yet but one day it’ll come unless there are major changes.
I say this just as I’m about to leave for Sunderland away tonight.
I think you’ll be fine, you always are!!

I think you've been the better team.
Terrible defensive errors though, 2 stonewall pens.
Yes we play well, but cannot put the ball in the net, and always likely to defensive mistakes.Terrible defensive errors though, 2 stonewall pens.
Starting to fall apart now as they can see no way back. Final score could be four or five.

Another defo pen, we are so sloppy. I hate Everton for this,we are total crap
I don’t know what others think, but Beto is another crap buy in my eyes.
I'm not sure crap is fair...but I'm not sure how much of our 30m we'd get back if we sold him. I'm not even sure of the thinking...what other bottom half club is dropping 50m on 2 strikers, one whom apparently isn't ready enough to play more than a few minutes? (And the other one you'd never heard of??)I don’t know what others think, but Beto is another crap buy in my eyes.

To fund this, we sold Cannon and Simms for about 8-10m. You can see why the FFP bods are sniffing around, with that kind of business acumen
That Beto deal, £0 upfront, and x million over the next x years, payments must be coming due soon? (Ditto Chermiti ?)
In that sense, we have to stick with him and hope he / they come good. Chances of them and DCL banging in tens of goals in a dynamic 3-4-3? Slim (at best, certainly under Dyche)
And whilst we are talking about bad deals, we put Maupay out on loan...Whilst he didn't work out for us, that was because he was up front on his own. Him and DCL might be a better fit than DCL and Beto...(Maybe)...which leaves the fact we spent 30m on cover for DCL just as he regained full fitness.
Luck, timing, whatever. Fair to say we're cursed. But Chemitri as cover / development/ be able to take DCL off after 70 mins and keeping Maupay to play behind either one of them sounds less risky financially
