Not Pickford though.
No, absolutely not because he got short arms hasn’t he? It is the funniest joke of 2020 so far and I can’t wait to get down the pub later to share it, they’ll be roaring when I tell ‘em. Thanks for posting, please pass on anymore pearls your cell mate chooses to share with you. BadBull said:
But suggesting Liverpool fans are junkies is the height of satire?
Embarrassing for you lot. We put out a weakened team in the league against you and thrashed you. Our kids beat you yesterday.
Third best team on Merseyside? Maybe you need a play off with Tranmere decide that?
What would know about satire? You seem to spend an inordinate amount of your time on other team threads, posting imbecilic taunts, clearly ‘your team’ sweeping all before them isn’t enough. It’s clear from the fact that you never actually comment on the game itself that you’re another plastic red, there to be pitied. Embarrassing for you lot. I’ve lots of friends and family who are genuine Liverpool supporters, none engage in the pathetic behaviour you display. Go support your local team, up the Argyll.

Well done, Liverpool are amazing
Not my fault you misread my post and have to resort to sarcasm.Liverpool fans seem to forget it wasn't all that long ago that they were utterly ste and wasting money on players such as £50m for Andy Carroll only to sell him for a £35m loss 2 years later. Same with Balotelli, and Cristian Benteke. Much like us you had a fair few poor managers, and hopefully, much like Liverpool we've now found the right manager.
Hopefully we can clear some more of the dead wood out of the team (like when you got rid of the likes of Caulker and Lambert) and start to build a team with a winning mentality
Oi! We wasted £35M on Carroll I'll have you know, so lost a daft £18M when we mugged him off to West Ham. But you are right, memories are short and you might now improve markedly if Carlo is given time and money.
Was surprised how poorly the premiership quality side petered out yesterday. You had the nest chances of the first half mainly due to Walcott versus our Milner replacement (who improved as the game went on) and should have gone in a goal up at least.
The second half we dropped off terribly and didn't have a shot on goal, your defence didn't do a lot wrong but midfield was awful. Schneiderlin is surely due for retirement but what has happened to Siggurdson? He used to be a great player. Walcott went into a massive reverse too.

I knew it was a lot you wasted on the pony (in both senses of the word) tailed sick note, just wasn't sure of the exact amount Was surprised how poorly the premiership quality side petered out yesterday. Yeah I thought the lad that replaced Milner grew in to the game well. I have a funny feeling if we'd have put one of the chances away in the first half then the outcome would've been a lot different. We really seem to have a fear of playing at Anfield. it's odd as we'll give the likes of City a game, Anfield has become what Old Trafford was to many teams.
God knows what's gone on with Sigs, it's like his form has dropped off a cliff. Last season we could rely on him to put decent balls in and to pop up with a few goals, this season it's like he's given up all hope of being able to put a decent pass in. Schneiderlin has always been awful, I think he's only had one decent game for us in the whole time he's been here.
It was disappointing how heads dropped when the goal went in, it's a good goal, but there was plenty of the game left to turn it around. But we kept passing the ball back to Pickford rather than getting it up the pitch to put some pressure on Liverpool. We just kept putting pressure on ourselves instead

Ill be honest FastBug I dont think your fans helped the team one bit, when that goal went in I was expected them to get behind them, pick them back up but nothing, never seen your lot so quiet..... Whats happened to Digne to? he struggled against a 16 year old yesterday, seemed a much better player last year?
DCL seemed to have the better of Phillips for about 10 minutes and I was worried watching that develop but the lad really grew in confidence and seemed to handle him quite comfortably after that ...
Be interesting to see what Carlo does over the coming year or two as you do have a lot of over rated players or just not good enough players that need moving on some of which you have paid huge money for.

I thought you pressed energetically for most of the game TBH, the kids struggled to acclimatise to that pace initially and got caught out a few times, then they acclimatised and in the 2nd half really came to terms with it and passed it around you, dominating possession.Blue62 said:
I agree with Sye about our support, I know we were poor second half but we don’t help by booing our own. Say what you like about Koppites (the real ones), but they do get behind their team.
You were loud for 10 mins, then about 5 mins around the 30 min mark, bar that strangely quiet... The worry of being beat by the team we fielded seemed to get to the fans and the players, rather than using it to get everyone going.. 1st Derby I've been to with complete police segregation around the stadium to, very strange.

Meh. It's going to take time and I'm not sure why we thought we were going to win it. Klopp played a blinder. I think he played to win, but at worse he knew we would take them back to ours where he'd stick out the full squad and we'd get dicked 0-5 at the old lady. That would have been worse imo.
Anyways enough about the derby. Let them have their dance with the devil.
Anyone going to the Brighton game? Will be interested to see how up for it the team is given the feedback provided after yesterday. Looks like gilfi's card is marked already. Chuck him in the u23s for a bit and punt him for a massive loss.
I agree we seem to have assembled a bunch of mercenaries who are mostly not loyal to the badge and need to be jogged on. Easier said than done. Still paying the price of Koeman and Walsh. fk sakes Martina, Tosun, Niasse, Sandro are on the books costing us a fortune.
Positive news today... There is still talk about Usmanov joining mosh. Looking forward to his dodgy Russian roubles raining down on us

Not intending to be a WUM, purely interested; who would you keep?
PickfordRicharlison
Digne
DCL
Holgate
Gomez
Kean (with a run and when he gets a goal he will do ok)
Mina purely as a squad filler
I'd also have an eye on replacing Pickford in the next couple of years, short arms or not, he does tend to flap sometimes and be in 2 minds what to do. Maybe that could be coached out of his game?
