Yeah they all want to play for Barca or Real. I don't think the money is the issue, it's finding a replacement this late in the window and everyone knows you've got a chunk of dough burning a hole in your pocket. Spurs with the Bale money, Liverpool with the Torres money, City when they got taken over, us the past few years. Clubs never buy well with the money!
They could have Walcott for half the money if they like

Torres money got us Suarez (And Carroll but he was easily forgotten) They could have Walcott for half the money if they like
Yeah be hard to get someone in so late but his head has to have been turned... I cant see where he fits in that team at the moment though, they seem to have loads of forwards, although some are getting on a bit
Just be reminded that Paul Merson stated we had ruined the transfer window when we signed Richarlison for £35m!!!!
Paid way over the odds according to this whiff of a pundit, I now hope there’s real substance to the story and look forward to hearing what the sage has to say in the subject.

Crawl back under your rock, cretin.
It’s not a rock. He resides under the bosom of his ageing mother who chides him daily for not being the lover his father once was. He seeks solace in taunting and teasing until somebody bites and then she gives him a biscuit. In order to starve the poor soul and free him of this earth, we must ignore him, only then will we be free of his acerbic wit. It says far more about you than me.
Both the post and you are rather odd.
I'm looking forward to the game at Goodison.

You haven’t just seen it at all have you my little Cornish friend? The fact is that it took you over a week to think up a response, is that really the best you could do? It says far more about you than me.

I almost hope you batter us at Goodison now, most of us love to see what the plastic wing of the RS is thinking, if thinking is within your compass.

Looks very much like we are not going to waste money in this window, focus now on the Summer.
Agree, though a pal in high places tells me the Barca interest in Richarlison is genuine, if he’s had his head turned would we really turn down £85m? All conjecture but a decent source. Blue62 said:

Id say if Richarlison is worth £85m then if DCL carries on with the form hes showing hes going to be worth more, who would of thought that 3months ago , football gone mad , a player has a few good weeks and clubs a prepared to go to any length to sign them ,
any way a tricky little game tomorrow , be nice to get a win again,

It was rumoured the Manure were interested in DCL a few months ago. If we are serious in building a team to challenge for top honours we are not going to sell our best players, and think if Barca’s interest was genuine, then we made a statement to all the other clubs. We are not for sellingId say if Richarlison is worth £85m then if DCL carries on with the form hes showing hes going to be worth more, who would of thought that 3months ago , football gone mad , a player has a few good weeks and clubs a prepared to go to any length to sign them ,

So no signings on deadline day, possibly our best window ever!
I think it’s a sensible approach for once, more time to assess the squad and plan for the summer as we only have the league to focus on. It also suggests that Carlo is up for the project, which is encouraging. The pain of that Newcastle game is still with me but a win today would aid my recovery and a drink tonight after a dry month.
