I watched the Palace game on my Samsung TV. I’ve got a 25meg connection and the picture was great.

Original firestick, watched both games on an all be older HD TV but was fine in all honesty, better than streams by far!

On a LG OLED using the built in Amazon application, I got HDR (HLG) picture quality on the City game but not the Palace game.

Bit disappointed with the picture quality myself. Watched on a brand new 4k firestick with 60+ meg fibre and it wasn't great, I'd say between normal and 720p. Still, good to have some football on!

Found the picture quite dark, quality faded in and out and then it just went blank.
It was 0-3, when I got the picture back it was 1-4 and the whistle went.

Only the city game was in HDR last night. It says it in the top corner of the thumbnail photo (well it actually says UHD) Only some of the games tonight are UHD as well.

I thought the picture was excellent on both games, especially the City game in UHD/HDR. I'm watching on an LG OLED as well.

Interestingly, the app via smart phone allows you to drop the commentary. Absolute heaven! smile

I couldn't do that on the TV though. Absolute hell! frown

Samsung TV app - great picture - not he best WIFI - but so far clear no buffering.

Also fab to see Jim Rosenthal back doing football, class act.

I like the Amazon kick off times - I will watch Utd V Spurs then catch Liverpool 2nd half.

Also watching the Utd Spuds game, quality appears better than last nights Palace Cherries game but still nowhere near Sky HD quality. And as above Jim Rosenthal! he’s a bit rusty me thinks.

Picture looks really good but I cant see or tell if its in 4k or not, is there an option? It also seems darker then Sky live coverage but Im assuming my HDR is active via Prime.

Overall no problems over the last 2 nights and like it or not the next round of TV rights will probably all be streamed like this.

Watched the Wolves game earlier and the quality seemed better than the games yesterday, really good buildup as well. Liverpool now and the picture quality seems just as good. No buffering or anything. I've really enjoyed the coverage as well, it's better than Sky just by virtue of being able to watch a Liverpool game without that moron Carragher polluting it.

Hope not, I like Amazon Prime, but I wouldn't want the increased cost that would come with loads of football rights!

Simon Jordan mentioned it on the radio a while ago. He said the Premier should start their own streaming service similar to Netflix/Prime and offer a monthly subscription service world wide. That would make so much money its unreal.

Danger however is Amazon will be crunching these numbers. They have offered every game pretty much at the same time tonight, so after a few years of their current TV deal they will know what the viewers/Fans want. Eg The Man U and Liverpool games would prob have about 50% of tonight's viewers.

The so called big 6 have been moaning about the current TV rights saying they think they should get more TV money as they bring in more viewers, Similar to La Liga where Barcelona, Madrid etc make their own TV deals.

I just hope the Prem sticks to its ethos and pays every Prem club the same Money from UK TV rights.

I noticed at the very end of the programming last night they thanked BT Sport in the credits, so assume all the technical equipment/programming expertise etc is from BT Sport

It's not equal amounts though is it? The more they are on TV the more they get anyway?

https://talksport.com/football/376346/how-much-mon...

I was reading the Facility's fees para:

Facility fees

Facility fees are based on how many of each club’s games were selected and aired on live TV.

To even things out, every side gets a guaranteed £12,312,666, even if fewer than ten of their games were chosen for live TV. The rest get an extra £1,129,879 for each game over ten.

For example, Huddersfield had under ten matches on live TV and so collected the £12,312,666, however Manchester United ended up with £32,650,495 as they had an extra 18 matches shown live.

I assume it would have a extra fee of like £10 per month for the football.

Ooops got that wrong then.

Still there is no way in the world bottom of the Prem would get 94m if they sold there own TV rights, that's what I am trying to get at. A global market would want to watch the big 6 and the clubs could sell it world wide no problem. No disrespect to the lower teams in the Prem but they wouldn't sell there own TV rights to the rest of the world no where near like Liverpool would. That's why the current Prem ethos works so well for English football. Blanket sell the rights.

It says all Prem clubs receive 36m for UK rights and 40m for overseas rights.
