As rumours of Popes transfer to spurs intensify, he could hardly contain his break dancing delight when 'Arry scored.

Has he been watching Sanchez's goal celebrations?

Brilliant to watch and I have to say I sort of agree with him. I think he definitely goes OTT as we do have some very good players but we also have at least 4 or 5 players who just aren't good enough for a side with top 4 pretensions and everyone knows who they are.

Loris - dropped off massively this season
Dier - Not a good footballer, let alone a decent CB
Doherty - Bang average
Davies - OK squad player, I'd probably still keep him as backup but Reggie is 10 times better.
Winks - Had one good half season years ago, been poor ever since.
Sanchez - Has one decent-ish game in 5 if you are lucky, rest of the time he is woeful.
Sissoko - A professional footballer who can't control the ball. He has some limited use as a CDM but not worth keeping
Aurier - Decent going forward but far too prone to a goal costing defensive brain fart every other game.

All defenders or defensive mids, no wonder we are so st at defending.

Would rather a home leg first when there's no crowd advantage, but can't grumble at drawing Zagreb I guess.
Prefer the second leg at home TBH.

Didn’t do us any harm against the last lot. Less travel, a little less pressure.
The fixture has been reversed now. First leg is at home on 11th March at 8pm, then away on 18th March at 5:55pm.

That's a result with the Gooner game in-between.

Talking of bang average players, there was a glorious passage of play by Ndom just prior to the 4th goal, including his lay off to Son. Think we have finally found a Dembele replacement.

Fantastic piece of skill and that wasn't the only time, he's literally a breath of fresh air in what can often be a very stodgy midfield, especially if WinkSissoko play but according to some people on here, he's rubbish. I honestly think some people watch a different game to the rest of us sometimes.

Gave the ball away an awful lot and he again failed to stamp his authority on the match. I don't get my head turned by the occasional little flick and turn I want to see something more substantial from him.

He's one of our few midfielders who actually does something meaningful with the ball other than pass it sideways or backwards. Sure he may lose the ball sometimes but a lot of our attacking play is started by one of his "flicks and turns". He has that Dembele knack of gliding past 2 or 3 players which opens up loads of space. I'd much prefer that he tries and loses the ball rather than just always trying to play the safe option and getting nowhere.

Are you one of Jose's stooges? Where trying something inventive but giving the ball away is chastised roflwink

If these 'moments' happened 10 times in a match which is what you would expect a top quality creative midfielder to churn out then fine. But we get 2-3 a match out of him and the rest of the time he is dragging his arse around like a recalcitrant teenager. There was a week in January where I had hoped he would push on and give us 4-5 moments but he has regressed back to his normal self since.

Still, Lo Celso is back soon so he will be taking Ndombele's place for the last 30mins of each match by end of March and will then probably be starting throughout April.

10 per match, lol. I suggest you do a little light research on football stats? 2 or 3 take on's or passes that lead to goal chances per match are statiscally very good and only done by top players. Even Messi doesn't do 10 per match on his best day.

Ndom's value is not in the killer pass or the final ball, it's in beating the press. If you can go past the playier pressing you it forces another oppo player to close you down. That automatically creates space as you've drawn a player away from a team mate.

If you haven't got players who can take the ball past people, against the better pressing teams, you invariably end up with a lot of sideways passes and eventually work your way back to the keeper to just pump the ball up the pitch.

Sure there are still weaknesses in his game but I'm sure he will be an absolutely vital player for us for the foreseeable future.

As someone said on Twitter "Ndombele could find space in a single bed with Gemma Collins".

He's a terrific player and a vital cog in our midfield.
