I wonder how many times Aurier is responsible for costing us goals/points?
add Winks to the mix and we have a duo who helps us loseo!
(I was surprised Aurier was even playing after his sad news this week)
Still a win is a win and we stay ahead for today of The Arse
Less than 24 hours after the guy's brother was murdered he was willing to pull on the shirt and step up. Says a lot about the man IMO.add Winks to the mix and we have a duo who helps us loseo!

Granted , but this does not answer the overall question.he is a loose canon rash decisions and these cost the team.
I was surprised he was playing, but not surprised he makes the error to cost a goal.

EL is a catch 22 isn't it? Has the potential to ruin your season through fatigue and injuries but then you'll probably need it to attract the better players (maybe not so much in your case but certainly in ours). Without it though, you can have a good go at the league and you don't need a big squad for the season.
If a squad isn't able to cope with the extra games the EL brings then IMO they're not ready to qualify for the CL.jammy-git said:

If a squad isn't able to cope with the extra games the EL brings then IMO they're not ready to qualify for the CL.I think Jose will thin the squad out abit, rebuild the rear and so 'we' wont have the squad to compete on all fronts. Id rather sack off Europa next season, rebuild and come back stronger the following, like man utd did that time. We'd probably lose Kane by then but hopefully found some others, Big Watch Rodgers might become available but then Newcastle might be plumped up by a State with Mopo in charge and be the next City, meaning its all rather pointless
There are less games in the CL and you don't play on Thursday. Has anyone ever done well in the EL and EPL in the same season? If you are a top 6 club, it's more realistic to finish top 4 than it is to win EL. That's why no one bothers with it. If you got CL for final or even semis, rather than having to win it, clubs may take it more seriously.

But teams do bother with it. In the last 3 years it’s been won twice by English clubs, last year was an all English final. This year we’ve got Wolves and United still in the competition. It’s not a glamorous cup, it’s not the cup anyone really wants to be competing in, but dismissing it as not worth bothering about is a bit much.
