Neither do I, I'd have thought the direct line to jose and him reading the threads would have been a give away that its light hearted banter after Gov said he didnt like him and wouldn't watch spurs anymore.
Seems like this thread has become like liverpool's during the bad times
I've got nothing against lighthearted banter but calling another poster a prick is not lighthearted banter IMO.Seems like this thread has become like liverpool's during the bad times

Thanks and I agree, light hearted banter I don’t mind but calling someone you don’t know sweary names as a “joke” makes you look classless, but then I shouldn’t be too surprised considering the source.Hopefully when the mods eventually wake up, we’ll have a few less classless idiots on this thread. Oh and to avoid any confusion that wasn’t a “joke”.

It's ok to not like Jose and it's also ok to like him. What we don't need is to fling dung because somebody shares a different opinion. Disagree or not, no need to call anybody a prick.
We have our best attackers out and a shambles of a team which is a reasonable excuse, but still we play with no spirit at all. Even our wins are hard to watch. Meanwhile one of the more brighter talents from the academy can't even make the bench whilst bemoaning that we don't have a striker. Jose has been told to salvage the season the best way he knows how and so far it is working. Perhaps Parrot not playing is a message to Levy to grow longer arms or have shorter pockets.
I just hope he gets the backing he needs to bring in some decent players over the summer and we can get back to stylish football. I won't write him off for something that hasn't happened yet. Equally I won't be setting the alarm for the wolves game. First game in I don't know how many years that I won't be making time for. I'd sooner watch conference league on a cold night in Chesterfield tbh.
As I said before I just can't see light at the end of the tunnel. I'd really love Jose to prove me wrong and if he gets some new players during summer and turns it around, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong but I just can't see it. His brand of football just doesn't work anymore and even if it does, it doesn't excite me and I watch football to be entertained.
The team he chose was probably one of the strongest he could have put out with who he had available and yet we still looked lacklustre. We had 5 defenders and our midfield sat so deep it might as well have been 8. We basically completely surrender the first two thirds of the field to the opposition in every game now, even at home. How are you supposed to score with an 8-2 formation and a team that doesn't press? The team might not be playing too great either but the whole ethos and tactics appears to be wrong too and surely that's down to Jose.
A lot of the fans on social media and some well known commentators are all pretty much saying the same thing so I'm not the only one who thinks Jose is playing it all wrong. Anyway I'll leave you guys who still think that he's gonna pull it out the bag to hope a bit longer but he's pretty much lost me already.

Today was fairly turgid and what stood out for me was:
- a lack of creativity from the middle
- Lo Celso's reckless and rash tackles
- Lloris's outstanding performance
- Jan's wasteful passes and crosses from the back
Why didn't Ndombele shot when on goal?
Alli who? His first touch was to look for a free kick.
Chelsea looked class and vibrant. Their second goal was excellent. Bugger.
Also, what's this secret thread? If it means that I don't have to skip pages of 'banter' from Liverpool fans, can I get on?

Have I ever had a go at you, a real disagreement with you or anything? Nope. So why'd I openly call you a prick? VERY obvious joke.

We battered these southern Jessies a few days ago, 0-2, in their back yard.
You should have no problems today.
I thought most of Manchester United's fans come from the South? You should have no problems today.

I like bergwijn, thought he wasn't putting a lot of effort in, but chelseas press and hard work was impressive, our players didn't work close enough with that press on, so those with the ball found themselves going into closed out avenues with no out ball apart to go backwards. Tanganga looked ok again, but again often only the obviously out ball was straight down the wing.- a lack of creativity from the middle

Our passing hasn't been accurate all year, we give the ball away in dangerous positions.
I think Lo Celso, Winks just ended up over trying to make a difference. Lamela's terrier like workrate pushed Chelsea back, but the goal was lucky.
Lloris is saving us being seriously embarrassed, Sanchez was ok, but we don't react fast enough in defence, if we're going to press we need some pace at the back.

I still can't understand why someone like Levy employed Mourinho when he recently got the sack from Manchester United for spending loads of money but getting piss poor results. Levy's normally shrewd when it comes to players and managerial appointments but Mourinho's appointment seems a massive o.g.
I think Arteta's appointment at Arsenal has been a good move, although Arsenal are not setting the world alight just yet at least now it's not a forgone conclusion of a defeat when they play a top team like the previous 10 years or more. Perhaps it will be down to Arsenal stopping Liverpool going unbeaten in May.
Levy has always had a hard on for Jose. He sees it as a huge statement of progress and status of his stewardship of the business to be able to hire the most famous manager in the world. The footballing side doesn't come into it. It's worth noting that in a couple of years Spurs will have the 3rd highest revenue in the Prem (possibly 2nd depending upon Citeh...). At that point, revenue streams can only increase abroad. For increased sponsorship and foreign merchandising, the club has to be successful on the pitch. So Levy will have to turn the taps on from all the revenue less the business stagnates. So expect Jose to be gone as he will have served his purpose if he hasn't created a winning team by then.

I suspect Levy will be gone by then too. I can't help but think the investment in the stadium, Jose etc is all fattening up the goose for a sale. I don't think Levy really gives a st about the football except for how it might effect revenue streams and the clubs value. It's worth noting that in a couple of years Spurs will have the 3rd highest revenue in the Prem (possibly 2nd depending upon Citeh...). The potential buyers of billion pound football clubs are less than Sissoko goals. The ideal would be to get an NFL franchise and then it become attractive to US money. You've reiterated my point that football will start to effect revenue and ultimately value. Previously everything was about building the stadium but now its built, increasing other revenue streams will be dependent on the football.
