Soft penalty for Leicester, no way was that deliberate handball...
Could do with City winning although a draw is ok
I thought after the Dier affair they were going to relax their flaps over handballs.

Don't really care about the other results. Key for us was banking 3 points before the break, got a tough run coming up.

9 games in December. And Liverpool In the middle of it all

Need the squad players to start performing

All teams are going to have to use their squad members a lot this season. There’ll probably be a bunch more injuries during the internationals now too. Too many games with no breaks for the players. It could be the ‘lower’ teams benefit as they’ll have no/fewer players playing in the internationals, and no Europe, which could be a massive boost.

Maybe at the end of the season if we're still five points clear of them. Premature roffling tends to bite you on the arse (pardon the pun). Just look what happened to the scousers when they rolled out the ROFLcopters after we thumped United. We've got the NLD coming up in a tricky run of games, let's just get the bragging rights sorted there and keep the choppers on the ground until the end of the season.

Fixtures to New Year:

Sat 21 Nov 5:30pm - Man City (A)
Thu 26 Nov 8pm - Ludogorets (H) (Europa League Group J)
Sun 29 Nov 4:30pm - Chelsea (A)
Thu 3 Dec 5:55pm - Lask (A) (Europa League Group J)
Sat 5 Dec 3pm - Arsenal (H)
Thu 10 Dec 8pm - Antwerp (H) (Europa League Group J)
Sat 12 Dec 3pm - Crystal Palace (A)
Wed 16 Dec 8pm - Liverpool (A)
Sat 19 Dec 3pm - Leicester City (A)
Wed 23 Dec 5:30pm - Stoke (A) (Carabao Cup)
Sat 26 Dec 3pm - Wolves (A)
Mon 28 Dec 3pm - Fulham (H)
Sat 2 Jan 3pm - Leeds (H)

Need to make sure win the Ludogorets and LASK games to get thru, and could then rest the team for Antwerp at home.

Fulham at home should be one we can rest a few players in as well (famous last words)

I actually think we'll find the Leeds game easier than the Fulham one - we tend to play well against teams who come at us, and struggle against teams who sit deep. But I wouldn't want to rest any of the first 11 for either game. I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if we're still in the top 6 on 3rd Jan.

I've said this elsewhere, we've been getting results but we haven't been very convincing on the whole. Some will say that shows a sign of resilience that we've never had before which might be true, Leicester and Liverpool pretty much both won titles by scraping through a lot of unconvincing games so there is something to be said for grinding out ugly results.

However I don't think we've really been tested either, we've mostly played mid table or even relegation teams in the PL and European minnows in the Europa. We have a tough run of games coming up over the next month or so. If we can get points off the likes of City, Chelsea and Liverpool and still be in touching distance of the top come the new year, then I'll start to be impressed.

Just admit it. You have a crush on Jose and his new trainers. Go on.

True - the sentiment is certainly correct in the original post, some managers get far more coverage for any comment. To be honest I suspect those ones would prefer they didn't instead! Ironically Jose was one of those, but seems to be more focusing on the team and not popping up every few minutes in the media to say something. A good thing for you lot IMO.
That's because we're still in phase 1 of the Jose MkII experience. Give it another 18 months we'll be at phase 3, the wheels will well and truly have come off and he'll be whinging in the media every 5 minutes.

Phase 2 is winning stuff, right?
