I’m impressed that although we’ve played 41 games so far this season, more than any other team in the top 5 European leagues, Jose hasn’t been whinging about it even though we’ve been st in the league.

There’s a couple of other managers in the EPL that should take note.

I came here to read Ecsy's review of the match. Disappointed is an understatement.

Where is Dele's advocate? Any volunteers?

I can see the house he grew up in from my back garden. The second most famous thing to come out of Milton Keynes, behind roundabouts. A local lad who's life could have turned out a lot different if his alcoholic mother hadn't given him up.

Terrificly gifted player, a street footballer who's skills and tricks and flicks were honed on the mean streets of the 'Keynes playing against boys older than him. One of England's brightest natural talents.

Plus, he only cost 5 mil, and he's better than Ozil.

It's obvious he's really talented so it's very weird how he just seemed to go off the boil for 2 years, that's not just a temporary dip in form.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a proper return to form, probably just in time for Poch to snap him up in the summer.

It's a travesty how hes being treated.

Would it be ironic if it were Bale and Dele who saved Jose from a firing?

A goal and two assists from Dele, and a great goal from Bale today, surely Jose has to pay attention...

While it was enjoyable to watch Dele and Bale doing their thing, lets not get ahead of ourselves. With all due respect, the opponents where like an amateur team in terms of the amount of time and space they gave the Spurs players. Dele goes unmarked into the penalty area, has time to receive the ball, kick it up in the air and do a bicycle kick. Any half decent team in the PL wouldn't have allowed him anywhere near the time or space to pull something like that off.

So while I'm excited at the prospect that both Dele and Bale might be improving, I'll wait to see them both turn it on against some proper opposition before I start declaring "they are back".

Hopefully last week isn't repeating itself rolleyes had the same hopes before the Hammers game too. frown I guess the Wolfsberg game gives Jose a break from the "Sack race" headlines of late biggrin

Why ironic? Surely it proves what a great manager Jose is? Not scared to drop a superstar like Dele and tell him he's lazy and a poor trainer - something Poch never did. Not scared to treat Bale equally with the others and make him earn a place in the starting 11 on merit not past reputation.

If either make the starting eleven it will prove what a brilliant manager he is. whistle

Dele still has some work but to start with Bergwjin rather than Bale at this point would be utterly non-sensical. Bale played for the second half against a current top four team last weekend and was the best player on the pitch.

Last night proved nothing. Probably the worst team in the competition, Wycombe would have thrashed them biggrin

Would rather a home leg first when there's no crowd advantage, but can't grumble at drawing Zagreb I guess.

Prefer the second leg at home TBH.

Didn’t do us any harm against the last lot. Less travel, a little less pressure.
