There's definite green shoots there as much as I'd not like to admit it. Greenwood and Fernandes both look good. Even Martial has started putting some effort in.
Still can't decide about Rashford, you picture him as a kid and then realise he's got over 200 appearances under his belt and more often than not when I watch him he underwhelmes. I can't see him being a Utd great unless he starts to turn it on consistently soon.
Kind of agree.. he is very wasteful. Although has been out for 3 months and has a decent ratio this season. So hopefully he is coming of age.Still can't decide about Rashford, you picture him as a kid and then realise he's got over 200 appearances under his belt and more often than not when I watch him he underwhelmes. So Thiago?
Curtis Jones signes a new 5 year deal.
I'd be very surprised if we get Thiago. We don't particularly need another midfielder, and he's not really an FSG signing giving he'd likely be on high wages with no resale value and a not very good injury record (I'd say the most important factor). I think it's more likely we're using the story to try and get Gini to sign his new contract.Curtis Jones signes a new 5 year deal.

Personally I'd rather leave the thread title as it is.
+1These “quadruple winners” / “lots of FA cups so there” titles are a bit needy and embarrassing
Today’s game will be interesting.

I forgot we only play in one competition and started counting in 1992.
Why not go back to medieval times? 30 years is pushing it for the longest period of even possible relevance. You’re on the top at the moment but are still miles behind Utd, Chelsea, Man City and evening Arsenal in terms of success.

In terms of European success, no other English club even comes close.

We are literally the most successful club in the history of English football.

True. But winning things 50 years ago is a bit of a weak claim to relevant success. In terms of European success, no other English club even comes close.
Don’t get ahead of yourselves. You’re still a flash in the pan in terms of success this century.
I would say that is true of Leicester.
But I do agree we need to keep on winning to be considered one of the Premier Leagues great sides. The good thing for us is that by the end of this season is likely we'll have amassed nearly 200 points over the course of the last two seasons, which points to there being a high probability of more success in the near future.

"Premier League" means more to people under 40, I suppose. At 56 I still think of the original Div 1 and the Prem as the same thing.
Overall the stats don't lie and we are the most successful - but for younger people, granted, the last century probably doesn't mean a lot, and I guess Utd/City/Arsenal/Chelsea have been more successful this century in numbers of trophies? I haven't counted them.
But frankly. when you're at the top its the fans of the other teams that are willy waving.

I know it’s a bit of a WUM but the United fan flags say 20 League wins not 13 so why is it only premier leagues when it’s Liverpool? You’re on the top at the moment but are still miles behind Utd, Chelsea, Man City and evening Arsenal in terms of success.
Hoping for a big reaction in today’s game, better be anyway

It's been 17 years since Arsenal last won the title. Oh yeah. You’ll keep winging things in all likelihood, for as long as Kloss stays. But I do agree we need to keep on winning to be considered one of the Premier Leagues great sides. Depressing for Utd fans! :-)
