I don't think its effort, its focus.

Sloppy passes, wasteful finishing, and even VVD and Alisson making uncharacteristic errors.

It is possible to be both bloody delighted at winning the league but disappointed at some of the recent games
Agreed. Klopp himself wasn't exactly all happiness and joy on the touchline. Just because you win the title doesn't mean the team can't be rightfully criticised.

However a drop off is to be expected. We have put our maximum over the last couple of seasons - if taking the foot of the gas now and getting a few crap results when you have nothing to play for, then fine. I'd rather the players get a few losses under their belts now, when it is meaningless and come back strong and focussed when next season starts. I am not too bothered - come next Weds, you bet we'll all be celebrating a fantastic season!

I remember last year in here there was a few posters who are upset we haven't got 100 points saying they would be glad if we fell out of the champs league (which we went onto win) just so we could get the prem...
Now some are unhappy we have not got 100points as well as winning the prem confused

Fill that glass up chaps drink

Agreed, Klopp is bound to be pissed off, he sends his team out to win every single game - and I get people wanted the 101 (I did to) but I am not going to let not getting it over shadow how unbelievable we have been this last 2 years picking up what we have so I can quite easily forget about it and just shrug a shoulder as its one of those things...Ultimately we got what I wanted so the rest was just a bit of icing on the cake.

Exactly that.

I get people can enjoy the title and still be disappointed at not getting points records but most of the reaction to the game was really bloody negative. Some perspective is welcome.

I hadn't realised that the end of the WSL meant that our womens team had been relegated. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53427855

I do think LFC need to do more to support the womens team. It would be great once the new training complex is finished if they get to train with all the other squads.

Yeah I read that earlier. It does rather seem LFC don't really value the WSL team - apparently they're "considering" having them train at Kirkby when the new facility opens, among other options! If WSL is meant to take off so much, they perhaps need to bring it in house and not separate it quite so much.

Did seem they'd finally found their shooting boots just before the lockdown. so rather unfortunate they've been relegated based on their points per game at that point.

Remember thinking that was unreal, why are pundits not talking about it, not sure they realised at the time he got a touch

No need to be so glass half empty. At least they're being considered to be included at Kirkby.

This article gives a good account why Thiago may actually be a good signing despite us already being overloaded with midfielders.

IMO a Thiago-type signing is exactly what we need despite his age. The kind of player that could come in and improve a very good team. His passing may also get Firmino firing.

Potentially, but the article doesn't point out that Wijnadum is having far less chances etc because of the way we play and what he's asked to do. Just look at his goals etc for his country, versus playing for is. Our midfield is not designed to create lots of chances, but be a massive workhorse. The attack is more designed around the wings, which is why we've often had our worst games this season (of course that's relative!) when in particular TAA is out or is having a bad day.

There is no reason why we can't also add an attacking threat through the middle too, which IMO we probably lack a direct passer. Yes it would need a small tweak to how we play today, just like it did when we signed Fab. Keita is probably our closest but he is a more of close dribbler than someone who can carve open opposition defences with a devastating pass along the ground - Thiago is about as close to a true playmaker.

Should one of TAA or Robbo pick up a long term injury, we wouldn't be completely cutting the head off the beast with such a signing, which otherwise might see us totally off balance and upset the rhythm of our play.

The Ox was a great attacking threat through the middle a couple of seasons ago, but doesn't seem to have quite found his form yet since coming back from injury.

Todays Bild are report Klopp deffo wants him, but we are will to pay 23m euro and they want 35m euro , sounds like we would need Thiago to say he only wants Liverpool to force their hand (bit like they did with Sane)

Bild is very reliable for Bayern news

Not in the slightest - totally neutral about it; I don't watch or follow WSL. But if LFC are serious about supporting their own team, why WOULDN'T they bring them in house and give them access to the world class facilities?

I hope circumstances allow it, but I'm not sure it will happen... they can say that now, but will need to avoid a 2nd big spike coming in to the winter. Only need to look at the US and see what's happening there.
