Rio's come along way from reeling away in disappointment in the BT box when we scored goals in Europe hehe

Interesting insights. Nice to see how they highlighted Origi's reaction time for the 4th goal against Barca. So many players past and present would have fluffed that and bawled out Trent for not giving him a shout.

They've moved on from the pre-season posts about not being excited about this season/ saying it is pointless and not football etc, to getting a bit excited that they could have been top of the league if they didn't blow the 3 goal lead, and being 1/2 defenders away from a very good team, hehe Of course they'll have never said this season was pointless, and if anyone quotes them to shows where it was stated then the person needs to get a life, wink Naturally we do the same selective memory stuff/ complaining far more about bad decisions that affect us, but it is funny that they completely miss the same happening there.

Yep, same happened in the utd forum to, "not excited, not arsed, not going to watch any games". Yet then comment about every game they have just watched rofl

Been very impressed with how Jota has settled in, looks a perfect signing for us

Likewise. It’s been great to see two players (Jota and Thiago) slot straight into the first team without needing months of training to get up to speed, as we’ve seen so often in the past.

I think it helped Jota knows the league and came from a team who played a very similar way... Thiago is just different level and was never going to take take to settle for me..

At least the Utd fans didn't post a rofl copter though moments before being thrashed 7-2
:-)
Don't tar all fans with the same brush, because of an internet thread I think is the key :-)

Be gret if others could follow that rule when they come on here to troll, too.

I was thinking about it but I doubt we'll see a full front 3 change. Don't think he'll take the risk. If we are more than 3 up, he'll rotate then. Maybe Jota starting and a rotation in midfield is more likely.

I think you guys have as good a chance as any this year of a follow up trophy if you can get over the injuries. The lack of crowd support and crazy nature of the game will make this season more interesting tho, I can see other teams taking it this year also. City I think have issues they aren't admitting to and the pressure is on Pep big time this year after all the money to do something in the CL.
Gonna be a roller coaster year methinks.

It's not exciting and I'm not arsed

I haven't been able to share a game with mates this season either at grounds or in pubs, our WhatsApp groups are incredibly quiet outside of a game day

The season is happening so I'll watch the games, I couldn't give less of a toss who wins the league even if by some miracle we were to do it, I think the asterisk comment earlier was valid, at least with yours you'd pretty much won it by the time the st hit the fan

Lot of truth in that. Makes for a more interesting league this year. Not convinced they will make it to 38 games personally but I hope they find a way to do so. If Pep fails to bring PL or CL home this season, I think he'll go. My gut reaction was we'd be doing well to get top 4, after the Everton game but after the weekend game Trent said he could feel the team starting to click again and get their sharpness back so I guess we'll see. Don't think anyone will run away with it this year, that's for sure.

Isn't Peps contact up next summer? Who would they get instead?

No doubt they will look at Poch and Julian Nagelsmann

Pep is also in his last year with no current sign of signing a new one

Any club in the world would want Pep, just pay him €20mil a year and give him €600-€700 mil for transfers and you’ve got a winner right there.
