Saving grace is we're due a good performance, fingers crossed for Wesnesday.
I'd be happy if we never have another break again, we never play that well coming back from breaks.
Not due anything. The players are going to have to go out and earn it, and that's not likely given recent performances. But who would have seen these performances a month ago? So can change quick. I'd be happy if we never have another break again, we never play that well coming back from breaks.
Just watching the highlights again and there's an element of play to the whistle type coaching needed for Gomez. He was definitely pushed/fouled but he needed to respond with more urgency. In fairness, I've seen VvD turn off lately when he thinks there's a decision coming.
City have Man U, Arsenal and Burnley next. They could quite easily drop some points in there though I don't think we'll be clinching the title at Goodison.

Despite the - somewhat deserved - criticism in parts, that was the kind of performance we've been putting in all season. Not playing particularly well, riding our luck at times and just doing enough to get over the line with a win. The only difference is that no one looks twice at it when it is sandwiched in between a dozen other similar results. When you've played poorly and lost a few recently though, it's a different story.
Was it a foul on Joe? Possibly. Should he have been stronger or more assertive? Almost certainly. The midfield looked a little lightweight again, Fab has looked a couple of yards off the pace since his return and if Hendo is fit again for Atleti, I'm not sure Fab is doing enough currently to guarantee a start.

Surely, the record is "most number of goals in first 100 games", not "most number of top flight goals". This is just "journo needing to write about something".Mohamed Salah eclipses Liverpool greats with yet another record
"More than Rodger Hunt (who admittedly did 72 in 100 games, but in the second division)"?? Yeah sorry Rog, we're not counting you as that doesn't fit our remit. Neither does bothering to get Sir Roger's name right...

Agreed. Nothing like the Atleti game to help re-focus the mind. However can they suddenly just find their rhythm and defensive discipline? We were cut open by Bournemouth way too easily on the break. Was it a foul on Joe? Possibly. Should he have been stronger or more assertive? Almost certainly. I think a few of us will want the same today. (And probably a deep clean afterwards).

Never want United to win any game... hope they lose, reducing their ECL qualification chances and continuing their long demise.

It’s a fair point. I don’t see Utd as competition and would get much joy from seeing city and their ridiculously expensive squad, fail and stumble. We’re going to win the league anyway.
