You've got to love the media, absolutely feckin ruthless and the major stirrers of all ste in the world.Anyway, I'm not sure how I feel about, don't know how you felt about Ole coming in, I wouldn't want to lose Klopp but he's had a good period of time with us so will inevitably leave at some point but I'd prefer it to be at the end of his contract so maybe Gerrard line up is a long term thing being organised behind the scenes.
I wouldn't say no to Pep Ljinders.

Yep they love to manufacture a story, Lampard gone and Ole doing ok means it has to be Klopp or Arteta they have a go atAnyway, I'm not sure how I feel about, don't know how you felt about Ole coming in, I wouldn't want to lose Klopp but he's had a good period of time with us so will inevitably leave at some point but I'd prefer it to be at the end of his contract so maybe Gerrard line up is a long term thing being organised behind the scenes.

Was different for us with Ole, we'd stumbled from bad manager to bad manager, the whole vibe of the club changed and results were somewhat less important (to me anyway) than us sorting our identity out
Whether he is good enough is still up for debate on our thread
There's a definite romanticism to having a legend manage you but the reasoning behind it needs to be sound and not just romantic

Yes, its not pretty when you get into a manager merry go round, very unstabilising and unhealthy. I'd prefer Gerrard to prove himself and I dont think the Scottish league with one of the 2 top clubs is the way, it would be a romantic posting like you say.
It genuinely baffles me what goes on in the head of some supporters

Wow, must be a "we are desperate for news" day. There was speculation that Gerrard was being groomed to take over when he and Klopp both signed 4 year deals in the same week (roughly). Gerrard is progressing well but he probably needs a bit of adversity and failure in his locker.
So I'd like to see him go to Spurs, see them plummet to mid table, then he performs an amazing rescue operation getting them within touching distance of the PL title - before leaving them to come to Anfield when Klopp goes.
But yeah, nothing in it at the moment, obviously.
I actually like Ole - he's always come across as a nice guy tryng to do his best. And I'm sure I read once he was a Liverpool fan as a boy...

I have read that Rafa is back with his family on merseyside and thinks he has some unfinished business with us.
At least 2/3 seasons to soon for Gerrard, as good as Rangers have been, there is no competition this season.
Anyway, Klopp will never get sacked
That unfinished business thing was Guillem Ballague saying what Rafa thought (as he does) - although he was quick to add that clearly there's no point of entry at the moment with Klopp in the job and little chance in the next year or 2. It was more a "1 day" type thing. At least 2/3 seasons to soon for Gerrard, as good as Rangers have been, there is no competition this season.

Agreed on the rest.
The change in style, and personnel, to get to a Rafa team would be quite a contrast and take a while to achieve.
Klopp has been pretty clear about his plans. I don't think FSG would push him out the door so it's just whether he can navigate these difficult times.
I have read a few things about FSG selling a minority stake in the club (after a potential IPO was canned in January) in the near future. Talk of $750m being raised. That would be a timely injection of funds.

Eh? It would be for FSG who presumably take the 750 in exchange for surrendering that stake, no guarantee they would use any of the cash and reinvest it in LiverpoolFlip Martian said:

Plummet to mid-table under Gerrard? Bit late for that...Adam. said:

There isn't a guarantee of course - but selling a minority stake could just as easily be a good way of raising funds for investing in their major investment. If they still have a majority stake, its in their interests to still invest in the club. Not suggesting the club would get all that 750 of course...Adam. said:
