The Last Matchdays Forecasts - The Deadlines
Previously the unwritten convention on the final days postings has been that he who tops the table posts first to give those in with a chance of overhauling him time to vary their forecasts to something different.
So, I've had time to think about this and the fairest solution I can come up with is as follows.
Taking the current table (as at this morning) these are the top and bottom positions showing only those within 15 points of the leader or 15 points of the bottom position and is only for demonstration purposes - the real table and deadlines will be published tomorrow:
At the top we have:
And at the bottom it's:
So, with all of the final matchday fixtures starting at 4pm on Sunday different deadlines will apply to a few players (for the rest it's still 6pm on Friday)...
Mattyn1 - Friday at 6pm as usual
JackN1 - Satuday at 6pm
GloverRyan - Friday at 6pm as usual
Hammer67 - Saturday at Noon
Lotus Notes - Saturday at Midnight
Gone a bit AMG - Sunday at Noon
GloverHarry - Sunday at 3:59pm
Some notes:
1. You can post at anytime before the deadlines if you don't want to take advantage of those above you having to post first - it's your call on that.
2. However, do not exceed these deadlines as your fixtures will be voided should you do so
As nobody has missed 3 matchday forecasts this season - a record so well done everyone - relegation will start with the person at the bottom being the first to be replaced by any newcomer or returning player previously relegated (ie BrabusMog)
As always I'm open to discussion on this but please make it fast.
Please note: All of the above deadlines are subject to change after tonights final 6 results are known and the table published tomorrow. At that point the revised individual deadlines will be set in stone

When am I allowed to throw my hat into the ring for next season, Gadge?
When the new thread is created sometime over the summer. I'm aware that you want to play next season so I'll email you when the new thread is created - don't worry, you are definitely in next season...and I suspect you've just focussed the attention of those currently at the bottom Can I just say that the amount of missed forecasts this season has been exceptionally low and for that everyone has to be congratulated. Nobody has missed forecasting for more than 1 matchday in the entire season so far.
I think we are finally refining the game players down to those who REALLY want to play each week.
The missed forecasts can be simply listed as:
GloverRyan Matchday 2
GloverHarry Matchday 2
Black can man Matchday 20
Ascayman Matchday 24
Dan_1981 Matchday 24
If GloverHarry and GloverRyan had forecasted on Matchday 2 who knows where they'd be in the table right now
Again - well done everyone - a great competition record of only 5 no-shows out of 760 forecasts has been set and it certainly makes it all worthwhile from my point of view.

For the majority it's tomorrow at 6pm as usual but for some it's not.
As there has been some small movement in the bottom placings please note the revised and final deadlines:
Mattyn1 - Friday at 6pm as usual
JackN1 - Satuday at 6pm
Hammer67 - Friday at 6pm as usual
GloverRyan - Saturday at Noon
Gone a bit AMG - Saturday at Midnight
Lotus Notes - Sunday at Noon
GloverHarry - Sunday at 3:59pm
Have at it!

At the top of the table overturning a 9 point lead is a huge ask.
The REAL drama is at the bottom of the table. At least one player is being relegated to make way for BrabusMog's return and possibly 2 others if any newbies or returnees want to join next season. So it's any 3 from 5 could be saying goodbye for at least a season!
Love it.
Proper last day excitement - better than this Sunday's actual Premier League.

Thanks for all your efforts Gadge and making this the friendliest thread on PH.
Thanks Pommy but I can't take the credit for how great this thread is.It works so well because it's about the players themselves and not the teams they support.
I like the way all of the contestants park their allegiances at the door before entering...It's what makes the 'thon such an interesting thread that works so well every single year.

Perhaps its time for a proper trophy for the winner.
Everyone chips in a quid at the beginning of the season and we get something suitably random....
Loving your optimism Pommy. Everyone chips in a quid at the beginning of the season and we get something suitably random....
If I asked everyone for £1 towards running this thing I'd be lucky to gather together enough for a can of coke...and that's with me chipping in too so to get enough for an actual bloody trophy is wishful thinking in extremis.
Great idea though. I have a lovely spot just to the right of the TV where it would look just grand.
I've been looking for something to replace this monstrosity the missus brought home for quite a while...

It looks like the noon deadline has passed, I'll hold off in case there's an appeal
Over to you now Lotus Notes.

I'm minded to drop out myself this year too but will confirm after a bit more thought. Not really felt it this season to be honest.
Noooooooooooooo
You can’t leave, you’re one of the rocks of this thread! An ‘elder’ statesman of the ‘thon for want of a better description.
It would never be the same again...
