Vardy blows too hot and cold for me, so I tend to mostly avoid him. Although I did have him for a few weeks last season before he had his baby. After he had his baby his form seemed to go down the toilet though.

Good start to the weeek with 43 points from five players but could have been so much better.
With KDB out of action, I brought in Gundogan & should have left it at that really. But armed with a shedload of budget (Gundogan is £6.3m cheaper than KDB), I "upgraded" Soucek to bring in Grealish and cost myself 4 points to make the change.
Ouch.
Then with just minutes to go until deadline, thought Bamford would be a better bet than Cresswell so benched Cresswell.
Ouch again.
Shouldn't be too hard on myself but it's frustrating that sometimes, I almost try too hard.

I've had a very frustrating season and this January is just killing me in my league. Currently last with 71 points to make up on 2nd to last. Here is a summary of my last 2 weeks:

- Decide against bringing in Antonio, everyone else had him
- Transfer Cancelo out for Stones just so I don't fall behind more if he does well...
- Make a last minute sub bringing Bamford in for Soucek, everyone else had Soucek
- Made a transfer to bring in Gundogun, made another last minute transfer to change him out for Foden (had my wildcard this week)

Difficult week to know what to do really with my transfer.
Had one free transfer and over £3 million in the bank. Kane is out for 4-5 weeks although there are whispers his injury might not be as bad as first suggested (maybe Mourinho mind games) so in the belief that he genuinely won't be back, have brought back in Calvert-Lewin for Kane.
This means I now have a whopping £7.3 million in the bank. Am tempted to bring in Mane and drop Smith-Rowe which would obviously be an upgrade and I can afford it but would cost me four points though. Last week, I cost myself four points but it worked & think I may well end up doing it again. Only trouble is, that leaves me with Bamford, Antonio and DCL as strikers though I'd have Bruno, Mane, Son, Gundogan and Grealish as a premium midfield. Bringing Kane in would involve a lot of shunting about again...
Off to a game this morning so need to decide soon. Currently sit 355th and still in the Cup. Have a good weekend!!

I think squad cost is pretty irrelevant at the moment. All the point scoring form players are cheap. And in midfield. Everyone Id bring in at the moment if a MF but I’m quite happy with my 5 of Saka, Bruno, Grealish, Son, Soueck. All regular scorers.
Now do I jump on the Gundongan train or not and do I get rid of Kane or not?
