Finished 309k overall and third in the PH League, beaten only by (I presume) Dan_1981 and my own son!! Sheesh, that's embarrassing.

Finished FPL last year in a record high 18k overall but was as low as 300th overall at one point. Looking to break 100k again this year if possible too but wouldn't be surprised to see myself drop down to my normal level, around 500-800k overall.

Why do you think it would drop off? Just randomness / variance?

Why do you think it would drop off? Just randomness / variance?

More than fifty years as a Yeovil Town fan has shrouded my life with pessimism. Even sat here in 80+ degree heat, I'm not putting any washing out in case it rains!

Serious answer, maybe I feel I got lucky last season and have little chance of repeating it again. It stands out a mile on my history page, in twelve seasons of doing it, my previous best was around 300k. Why I'd be great again this year is beyond me.

I did follow a few people in the know on Twitter this season which definitely helped. Ben Crellin was one, he does spreadsheets each season for double gameweeks, blank gameweeks, that sort of thing. Getting his idea on things + spending more time than usual on my team was probably the real reason I did well.

I chose a team that I was happy with back in June and I just left it. However I did just tweak it a little bit yesterday though.

I'm really looking forward to another season of FPL for sure.

Same as me, selected a team the week that the site opened & have only made one change since then. Can't guarantee that I won't have a fiddle before the start mind, I'm still undecided what to do with Kane. In honesty, I should replace him and use the spare budget to boost my midfield.

Right, I’ve joined the head to head league. I figure I’ve got more chance on a week to week basis of scraping some points together, rather than being left behind after the first month.

Just a note, I couldn’t get the link for the h2h league to work off the first page, but the one posted above worked fine.
