Gutted what a game what an atmosphere. Still very much in it the last thing they want is a replay promotion is far more important. Still fancy our chances.
Great result for the competition in the National League! Get that fixture congestion going! hehe

Wrexham have been my not at all guilty secret team since this whole Rob/Ryan thing started, and I have to say I was gutted when Sheffield scored the equaliser.

70 place difference in the league between the two teams, certainly didn't look like it on the pitch, Wrexham looked their equal throughout the game, astonishing stuff.

Yes, well played Wrexham.

Thought it was a nailed on win for you guys at the end. Have seen so many United balls ups over the years I wasn't expecting us to score.

Probably the number of substitutions made, the length of the Wrexham goal celebrations, injuries and the time it took to send off the SU player. Seven minutes was probably about right.

Fantastic game and atomsophere yesterday. Absolutely gutted at the end and another game is not welcome. Tunnicliffe and Hayden out as well, probably long term.

Thought 7 mins was right in the second half. Surprised that it was not longer than the 7 they gave for the first half though.

Ditto and agree.

Wrexham are also a favourite of mine following the Welcome to Wrexham series. It had an air of inevitability to it when we drew them for this match smile

I doubt either team are really that bothered about a long cup run. Automatic promotion for both is a priority.

Well done Wrexham. Fingers crossed for you in the league.

Even with the replay coming, I am going to suggest that you stand a very good chance of getting a Premiership team in the draw.

Warmed balls, governor, warmed balls.. wink

Life long Wrexham Supporter here.

Didn't see this thread until now.

Going back a few years when we were struggling it's hard to belive that anyone on PH would want to talk about Wrexham, never mind the national coverage that we get now!

Bring on the spurs!

They sold 4,000 tickets today for the replay, should be a good atmosphere there.

Can’t wait. Got to focus on tomorrow first. Can’t take our eye off the league.

'Concentrate on the league' time hehe

Wrexham had a good run, getting past Coventry and taking Sheffield to 180+ minutes with injury time goals in both matches to get the job done. 3 leagues and 70 places and all that, Reynolds/McElhenney may or may not be narrowing that gap etc.

As far as I know, Wrexham weren't already looking at Spurs as if the Sheffield game was won, and weren't thinking we were going to win the cup, after Coventry and the first Sheffield match there was 'maybe there's a chance', nothing more than that. The fans at the end were cheering the players for how far they got.

I've never seen Billy Sharp before that interview at the end, and he's entitled to an opinion, but there are ways of saying things, he didn't come across well did he?

https://twitter.com/itvfootball/status/16230777393...

He calmed down/someone had a word for the official Sheffield Utd interview

https://youtu.be/MM24YM8VdE0

but it looks like others being disrespectful is a theme

PS: Whoever it was at the Wrexham end with the flares was a bellend.

Never overawed and apart from that slip up for the second goal were a match for the Blades. I think Billy Sharp is mad at the media and public furore over Wrexham and the star connection rather than the club; he didn't get that across very well though.
