Arsenal really can be a strange club can't it.....

Mari is perhaps understandable as if he is back in training in mid October then he won't be ready for selection until mid November possibly. It's a long term injury so a couple of months to be ready to be selected on a regular basis is fair. And then we're almost at the January window. Except, Mustafi seems to be at a similar place and he was selected.....

fk knows with Soares.

And after just looking at the injury updates (I should really be asleep) it seems that Chambers is soon to be back in full training. He was looking decent before the injury but he'll be getting back into things for months to come and by that time we'll be likely to have a settled defensive line up. He'll have his work cut out - but Holding has managed it so why not....

Saliba is the one I don't understand, looked very good in the friendly against MK Dons.
Not used in any of the competitive games this season, offered back to St Etienne to help reduce our wage bill and Arsenal miss the deadline confused

Apparently his heads not right at the moment, his mum passed away recently along with Covid and not having any family around, and also need to remember he's only 19.
Shame they did miss the deadline as it might have been good for him to go back to France and be around family and more familiar surroundings.

The Saliba home situation quite possibly explains the puzzling decision to extend David Luiz's contract.

Bearing in mind the situation in Saliba's personal life, as well as his age, it is really poor that Arsenal cocked up his loan move back to St Etienne. Can't have done him much good. He is really really young to be dealing with that in a new country - can't be easy. And a sizable pay packet doesn't really help in situations like that.

Very much so.

Perhaps the club are expecting to lose 1 or 2 players domestically via transfer or loans

So Tierney's out of the Man City game due to having to self isolate now for 14 days as one of his Scottish team mates tested positive for Covid, even though KT tested negative.

They shouldn't even be playing these silly internationals if there's travel restrictions.

100% especially given the fixture congestion due to the shortened season and the fact there’s a European Championship at the end of it all !

Never mind the fact you’re mixing people from lots of different teams....it’s beyond retarded !

Giroud now second on France's top scorer lists and 9 behind Henry. There is a chance he could end up as their all time top scorer, though he will have to go some as time obviously isn't on his side.

This is a total kick in the teeth for Gooners.

Always liked Giroud, he seem to get a bit of stick off the fans but for the kind of striker he was, he was pretty good.
Not the quickest but as a target man and plan B, he'd come up with the goods most of the time and had some cute finishes too.

It's a shame if he does break Henry's record but then also on the other hand got to give him credit for doing it since he's not as highly rated as a lot of other strikers.

Has Ozil been shagging Arteta’s Mrs or something?

There's clearly something from the past that is causing problems.

Can't be easy to make that transition though, between former team mates when your former club captain now comes back to the club to be your new manager.

He can leave on a free in Jan can't he?

Still can't see any club meeting his salary demands though, except maybe in China.

That isn’t going to happen. The Chinese dislike him even more than Arteta does.

He seems to be the master of annoying every one around him. He would destroy the US League - too young/in his prime tho?

He's running out of options though......unless he dramatically drops his wage demand, or he gives up playing.

He does seem to have burnt a lot of bridges.
