Fulham's failure to win any of their 28 away league matches against Arsenal is a joint record in England's top four divisions for the most away fixtures versus a single opponent without ever winning, along with Grimsby Town's fixtures at Blackburn Rovers.

Well there’s a stat where it fills me with fear than hope!

Yeah, recording the GP and religiously avoiding any social media until I watch it later. Let’s hope the c*nts at Sky don’t announce the result like they have done previously punch

Decent first half but we need to be a bit more clinical up front.

Indeed, because we all know what happens next......

I need to hang my head in shame, I went to make a cuppa after we scored and hadn’t even noticed it had been disallowed until the Fulham pen laugh this game sums our entire season, completely toothless.

I’ve posted elsewhere about a style of football that seems to be getting more and more pervasive and you lot are experts at it. It’s an obsession with possession without trying to score. You’ve had 70% of the ball and barely had an attempt on target in the whole match. Yes, Fulham have nicked it with a marginal offside to your marginal offside, but this sort of match shows why your style of play is flawed. It’s a constant failure to even look like you want to score that’s the problem.

Yeah, it's just not good enough. It's all well and good having good wins sporadically throughout the season against United, Chelsea and Spurs. But when they're followed up with insipid performances like this then it's all for nothing really, isn't it?

They've equalised as I'm typing this but I don't think it changes anything I've said.

100% agree. Get the fking ball in the fking box. Do something with all the possession. At some point it'll fall to someone in the box.

It’s a Guardiola thing. Everyone in the U.K. seems to want to play out from the back when then there’s no need to and then pass the ball about to boost their own personal Opta stats rather than actually try to score. The irony is that City do try and score, whereas everyone else seems to have forgotten that bit. The recent international matches were full of this crap and don’t even get me started on Spanish and Italian stuff. Barca had 85% of the ball in the first half yesterday and only had one shot on target in the whole half.

It’s ruining the game, especially as the stter teams know that a half decent bit of organisation and they’re unlikely to lose the game and possibly win it with one or two counterattacks and a bit of luck. Even Big Fat Sam has started to work this out and got his crap team picking up points. Luckily it’s too late and he can fk off back to Spain and semi-retirement.

And Lacazettes done his hamstring. frown FFS can it get any worse? Think we need to give Balogun and Nketiah a start against Everton on Friday and wrap Martinelli and Aubameyang in cotton wool until the Semi against Villarreal.

Damn, even a mild hamstring injury and that's his season done. And Aubameyang has had a nasty illness - I know malaria isn't life threatening when properly treated but surely it's going to keep him out for a couple of weeks, then get his fitness back, then match fitness etc blah blah. How much will we see of him this season?

Time for Martinelli to have a run up top? Or maybe Balogun will get minutes. Or Nketiah, though he is arguably the least exciting option there.

Not that it matters anyway - we don't have to worry about languishing in mid table for long as we'll be at the bottom of the table with AC Milan and Spurs in the new Euro league.

The thing is, is not a nice thing for any top flight althlete to have, as even with treatment, the effects of it can last a long time, and even on or off for the rest of your life.
For me it further questions his attitude (given other recent events and his past being given club captains armband) as he clearly failed to take medical precautions that he would have no doubt be advised of when returning for the internationals.

That's what I was thinking. A couple of years ago I had pneumonia - in hospital for five days but when I was sent home I could barely get up and down the stairs for a week, couldn't walk 10 minutes to get my son from nursery for a week after that etc. It took me 6 weeks to get back to normal. Obviously it's a different illness but recovery time can take a long time. Especially for top level athletes who perform at such high levels of fitness.

Didn't Kolo Toure come back from ACON many moons ago with malaria and IIRC he was never the same.

I think Balogun needs game time ASAP. If Laca and Aubu may still be out for a few weeks we are very weak up front. Two domestic fixtures before the Semi?

Pepe could work upfront as he did mid week. Didn't do to bad a job either. I am warming to him.

Still, todays result just shows how bad things can be, Forget the good results had recently, today was an example of why we don't deserve Euro football and do deserve distinctly mid table position.

Nope we’ve only got one before the semi, Everton next Friday, first leg of the semi final Thursday 29th so really not long to sort this out.

When we do get the ball into the box, there's nobody there... or it's over/under hit. In any case, if the box is mobbed with opposition players it'll mean we go from holding the ball to chasing it.

At least we can look forwards to coming 12th in the European Super League, and ban us from EPL *meh* we've given up on that anyway.

You say that, but what is the value passing the ball around in midfield from side to side? Seriously look at how many clubs struggle with this. United had similar woes yesterday. Didn’t do anything at all in the first half despite 75% possession and only in the last 5 minutes of the match tried to score as got a bit more desperate and went for it.
