I didnt realise Pepe was on such big money, (140k)!
Arsenal’s worst ever signing in my opinion when you combine everything together. Club record fee, wages and sporadic (I’m being kind) performances equals a huge disappointment. Hope they get shot of him in the summer.Still Kim Kalstrom?
Eddie Nketiah will sign a new Arsenal contract after originally deciding to leave on a free transfer this summer, according to David Ornstein.
Lautaro Martinez has turned Arsenal down after the Gunners failed to qualify for the Champions League, according to a report from The Times.

"The MethodologyOnly the first VAR overturn from any given game is taken into account. This is because anything that happened after we can presume wouldn’t have actually materialised.
Any decision is reverted to the original on-field call. For example a disallowed goal is ruled as a goal.
If a penalty is cancelled it’s awarded as a goal, unless the team in question have a conversion rate lower than 50%.
If a goal has been awarded through VAR granting a penalty or correcting an offside call – no goal is given.
Once these incidents were accounted for, ESPN used five indicators to determine the result for the remainder of the game in question: team form, time of the incident, xG at the time of the incident, team strength (e.g. league position) and impact of the incident.
The results were then used to calculate how the league team would look without VAR’s influence."
I'd suggest that VAR got more "first VAR overturns" correct than they got wrong, hugely contentious issues such as offside included. So what that table shows you, is what would have happened if the wrong decisions had been made.....and then a load of subjective factors added in.....

In other words the amateurish logic behind that table is completely, and ironically, self- contradictory!
Logic!
The VAR stuff is always if buts and maybes and the random what is and isn't "clear and obvious" depends on the ref and the VAR operatives.

Elneny official. We are never going to have world class players in every position and he's never going to get the glory of others but he always puts in a shift, is smart, calm and glad to have him around for another season at least.

I'd rather we didn't have VAR, but anyone suggesting there is some logic to a league table with no VAR (but only the first decision) is much more confused than he/she realises. https://www.arsenal.com/mohamed-elneny-signs-new-c...

Pepe out to cover Saka demands?
What does this mean?
We need to sell Pepe for transfer capital and remove his high wages so we can pay Saka more (Laca going will also help on the salary front). Saka (agent) know they have us over a barrel and I imagine the expectation that he will become top salary, especially when we have the likes of part-time Partey on 200k pw. They rumblings of a buy out clause is depressing but expected if we don't invest/ step up to Champs league level he has the skills to play for a team that can do that on a regular basis. What does this mean?
We aren't Toon and there will be an expectation to at least attempt to balance books given the losses.
William Saliba's Arsenal career is poised to finally get underway next season after Mikel Arteta stated the defender "has to come back" following a successful loan spell with Marseille.
Meanwhile he wants to stay at Marseille but they don't want to pay the value to buy him or his wages...

Renewals are out, I'd already done mine so missed this in case anyone with a season ticket is interested, given the fixtures and random TV date generator I'll probably go along to a couple, but nice touch given they have champs league and a chance of pushing for a title...

wonder what the league would look like without penalties.
Gary Kane's numbers would be way down i reckon
Can someone with the knowledge and time on their hands look in to that.
Arsenal were awarded 8 penalties last season. They scored 5 of them. Spurs were awarded 5 penalties. Obviously Gary scored all 5.Gary Kane's numbers would be way down i reckon

Arsenal have confirmed that both Kevin Betsy and Dan Micciche, head coaches of the club’s under-23s and under-18s respectively, will be leaving to join Crawley Town.
Betsy, who joined the Gunners last summer as a replacement for Steve Bould, has been appointed head coach of the League Two outfit and Micciche is tagging along for the ride as his assistant.
The double-signing is something of a coup for Crawley with Betsy very highly-rated within the game having cut his teeth as a coach at Fulham and with England’s under-15s, 16s, 17s and 18s.
During an 18-year playing career, Betsy featured for the likes of Woking, Fulham, Barnsley, Oldham and Wycombe Wanderers.
Micciche has been at Arsenal since 2018 and oversaw the under-15s and 16s before being promoted to the under-18s last summer.
The departure of both men gives Per Mertesacker a headache ahead of the new season.
Rumours are still rumours allegedly Nketiah staying and Jesus is still nearly done *blah blah blah*
