Not a surprise, but he was overplayed and looked absolutely done in the last few matches, at least looks like getting a rest with England...

Reports that Thomas Partey has become Muslim after marrying his Moroccan Mrs.

He's going to go by the name Yakubu now.

Hopefully we start seeing him smash 30 yard volleys after some tekkers on a frequent basis now.

Was it him that lobbed Seaman from the half way line?

Will join formally on July 1 - the date for when the summer window opens for clubs in France, Italy, Germany and Spain (and when alot of contracts end so not expecting much in terms of formal announcements of new signing(s) before then as can't reallocate Laca number formally with EPL until then etc.

https://www.arsenal.com/news/club-announces-out-co...

Men’s and Women’s first team squads:
Lisa Evans
Tobin Heath
Alex Lacazette
Eddie Nketiah (contract offered, ongoing discussions)
Viktoria Schnaderbeck
Lydia Williams (ongoing discussions)

Men’s Under-18s and Under-23s squads
Jonathan Dinzeyi
Joel Lopez
Jordan McEneff

And all the loan players we are trying to flog*

*this line may have been made up wink

No that was Nayim.

I'm thinking of the goal he scored against Derby where he did a couple of knee ups then hooked a volley into the net, although looking back it was inside the box so not quite 30 yards.

I could have sworn it was Tino Asppria. But the 90's were a bit of a blurr tbh.

I googled Nayim and it seems he was a serial Seaman lobber!

Yeah i was in shock when that went in.
Apparently no team ever successfully defended it so I'm putting that freak goal down to some sort of curse.

The phoenix from the flames reenactment was quite funny though.

Arteta allegedly fed up…

It is claimed that all major transactions at Arsenal must go through their American owners this summer, with dithering over deals potentially costing Arteta his top targets.

They certainly didn’t dither with the season ticket renewals and craming the pre-season with fixtures…

Spence off to Spuds
Jesus off to Chelsea

Naitland Miles to Forrest
Leno to Fulham

Brazilian winger confirmed (for about the 10rh time) still not on Arse.com now confirmed https://www.arsenal.com/marquinhos-arsenal-signs-s...
Matt Turner gk having medical
Rusty likely to arrive then on loan to get UK visa
3 youngsters have signed first professional contracts
So nothing new, and likely to be waffle until July anyway.

Bissouma from Brighton goes to Spuds for £25m, assuming doesn't get put away seems a good signing for them.

I hate to be the purveyor of doom, but doesnt it seem very quiet on the transfer front?

Have we fallen for the 'biggest transfer window in decades' and '200 million transfer war chest' headlines AGAIN?

We’re doing the usual dragging of heels and stupid low offers I imagine. Get it all done early gor Christ sake. Seasons squad should be ready for pre season. Not doing everything on deadline day

You may have fallen for it, not all of us have.

Long ago, I stopped listening to the statements and words coming out of Camp Kroenke, and just looked at the actions, or inactions instead and based any thoughts on that alone.
I've yet to see any positive correlation of those two things when it comes to transfers.

Only positive in last few years is the attempt at some dead wood clearing.......

The negative is there seems little evidence of any new tree planting of the right type.

Ye of little faith, holidays for those not on internationals, and from Englands performance, holidays whilst on internationals will delay our targets signing for other clubs and they'll break out Nketiah as our star signing*

* or for st n giggles he'll sign for Palace and we'll make Xhaka captain again, but we will get a good price for Saka from Liverpool so everyone (in the Board) is happy whilst we big up our "breakthrough" players that have been on the bench for the entire last season other than one cup match...

Solid? You can take that to the bank! Although due to high rate of inflation and due to all branches being changed into PoundLand it's worth fk all.

Anyway Jesus has a bromance with Arteta so will join us.

We are chasing/ in the mix for/ nearly signed/ made up crap:

Neto (yet another keeper!) from Barca

We are chasing Raphina from Leeds

Fabian Ruiz from Naples

and Victor Osimhen has admitted he could leave Napoli this summer after his agent held talks with Arsenal chiefs in London last month

Oh well I think the EPL fixtures are out tomorrow and our first four matches are:

Spurs (a)

CIteh (a)

Toon (h)

Pool (a)

Arteta out wink

Chelsea (h)

Oh yeah Nov 21 to Dec 18 is guilt free World Cup, I guess at least England on current form can go home early....

Oh and ffs I'll have to talk to the family at Xmas...

"The Premier League are set to scrap games played between Boxing Day and New Year in a bid to ease player burnout after the 2022 Qatar World Cup, according to The Telegraph. The report adds that fixtures played on December 28 will be moved to counter concerns regarding the Boxing Day return to domestic duties, which comes just eight days after the final."
